By the end of the tenth day, their required number of bicycles were met. All of the three groups of force members just sat around, waiting and daydreaming. Nothing happened, hardly anyone even spoke to one another.

There was too much spare time, no one knew what to do, but wait. No more things to distract them from their thoughts, letting their inner thoughts ring through.

It was nervousness, slowly getting to everyone. They were pondering earlier whether they ought to move the action day closer, to get it done and over with.

Elle looked at Alex, who was currently in deep slumber beside her. She placed a gentle hand over his, just feeling the warmth of his body. He looked so much more at peace asleep than when awake.

She sighed, giving him another long look before getting off the sleeping bag, stretching the muscles in her back. Again, Kirstin was not resting. She was far off, just sitting down by herself.

" Kirstie. Hey, why aren't you sleeping?" Elle asked, walking over to her. No one else was awake at the moment. This afternoon was cooling and perfect for an afternoon nap.

The girl did not respond, not even turning her head to look at Elle. Elle was a little surprised, she was sure she had been loud enough to be heard. Kirstin would not just ignore her like this would she?

Then, Kirstin coughed. It was a loud, hacking cough, that rocked her entire frame. Elle begun to move closer faster, just in case she needed any help. As she closed the distance between them, Elle could not help but notice the red droplets of blood that spewed from her lips.

" Kirstie? "

Kirstin wiped her arm over her mouth, and when she drew her limb away, Elle saw the traces of blood in streaks on her arm. Now, she begun walking backwards.

This was not the normal Kirstin. There was something not right. Elle's breath hitched, as she reached in her pocket for a small tiny knife. Just in case. How long would it take for rabies to take over, the Assassins did not know. But it seemed to be in control of her already.

Elle ran back to the camp area, searching for the members of Ferrari. But now, only did she notice that none of them were there. She knelt down by Kevin's bed and pulled the covers off. Clothes were packed under the covers, just to fool people into thinking that he was there.

She ran to Alex and Chrissy, shaking them awake instantly. There was no other choice. She had no idea where the Ferraris went.

" Alex! Chrissy! Wake up! I think that something is wrong," Elle told them, hitting each on the shoulder.

However, before she could continue, Elle heard a low growl behind her. Gingerly, she turned around, praying that it was just an animal, nothing more.

But her prayer went unanswered. All she saw was Kirstie, prowling over to her. Froth-like spit covered her lips and chin, speckled with flecks of her own blood. Her eyes were wide and wild, fingers held out like claws by her sides.

Suddenly, Kirstin came charging straight for Elle.

There was completely no time to react, as the girl pushed her down onto the ground, with so much force the air was knocked out of her.

Elle scrabbled at Kirstie's shoulders, trying to keep her mouth away from her face. One drop of that saliva into her system and she would follow the same route.

" Kirstie! Get off!" Elle shouted, as she tilted her face away from her snapping jaws.

Kirstin suddenly released the pressure on Elle, and just when Elle thought that the old Kirstin had managed to somehow return, she was immediately proven wrong. The hispanic girl used her arms, with the virus fuelling her movements, and shoved Elle's arms out of the way.
