" Alex, you seriously have to be more careful," Chrissy commented as she used a wet tissue to clean up the blood that had dried on his neck and face.

The torn skin was gradually healing together naturally. But he was advised not to do any vigorous exercise or missions otherwise the skin may tear again. There was a limitation to how much Chrissy could help.

Elle and Alex were resting together, her head on his chest. She could not help but mentally compare it to the feeling of lying on Finn's chest. This felt so right, the way it was supposed to be. Being with Finn could not compare to being with Alex.

He wrapped his arms around his waist, pulling her close to himself. Elle did not mind the close contact, she could faintly feel his heartbeat from where she lay.

" You know, I thought the bear was going to kill you. Or that the impact of its claws was so large you had died," Elle whispered, snuggling closer to him. It took a while for him to respond, and Elle momentarily wondered if he had fallen asleep by now.

She sighed.

" But you still shouted for me, even though you thought I was dead," Alex suddenly said, surprising Elle. He shifted his position slightly, tilting his head back and leaning it against the wall.

Pinecone climbed up Elle's legs, curling into ball of fluff on Elle's waist. Her hands gently petted her kitten's head.

" You've... always been the one to save me when I'm in trouble, I guess it's just natural for me to call for you," Elle mumbled, turning her head to look at Alex's new wound.

He opened his eyes, looking weakly at her. The lack of blood in his system probably made him more tired than usual. He smiled slightly, the smile of a man who had gotten the girl he had always dreamed of.

" Same for me. That time when I was ambushed in Eric's home, and thought I was doomed. But you came and saved me," Alex reminded her, finger gently tracing the butterfly tattoo on her arm.

Elle grinned, remembering that night. She had shot down some of the soldiers that were trying to trap Alex. That night, she had believed that there was no way out of this mess for Alex. But he had escaped, just barely.

" If you had died, I don't know how I would survive," Elle admitted, taking out a dagger from her pant leg.

She took a bit of his front fringe, bringing the small metal blade across. His brown hair fell gently to the floor. It had been growing so long that it had started to cover his eyes. Elle sliced it the way he liked his hair, right above the eye.

" I make you worry all the time for me. Sometimes I wished we were normal citizens, so we can do things that other normal couples do," Alex mumbled into her ear. His words seemed to slur slightly, the fatigue must be getting to him.

Elle felt a thought suddenly occur to her.

" Are we a couple?"

Alex opened his eyes and stared at her.

" You promised to marry me. Are we not?" Alex questioned, staring at Elle in shock," Or must I do something?"

Elle snuggled a bit closer to him, brushing some of the cut hair away from his bare chest. With a flick hand motion, she sent his hair into a slight quiff above his head.

" Okay. I am supposed to ask you properly right?" Alex checked, his lips dangerously close to her neck.

Cheekily, Elle nodded. Alex took a shaky breath.

" Ella Bella will you be my official girlfriend? " Alex asked, gripping her hand in his.

" I agree to it, Lex, " Elle responded, giving his hand a squeeze.
