Alex swirled his mug of coffee around in his hand the next morning, trying to get all the coffee powder inside to dissolve in the warm liquid.

The Ferraris were eager to help in the operation to rescue the other Assassins. But with the intention of killing George and Odin as well. Alex still could not believe that Elle was safe and sound.

Earlier that morning, before the sun had risen, the seven Ferraris and Alex had made a trip to the old hideout to gather all five Assassins' things. A lot of apartments in the same block were empty. It seemed like a goos place to hide in as well. Alex had been in charge of carrying Pinecone.

So, Will was a generally nice guy. He had given Alex some of their food to eat, and he absolutely loved Pinecone, playing with the kitten even as he ate. He claimed that he had never seen a cat, and was extremely fascinated by it.

Then there was Kirstin, who had been looking after Elle. She held back a little, just chatting a bit with Alex. But Alex had seen the way her eyes had lit up upon seeing Pinecone. Her ice queen image might have cracked already.

Following that, there was Mitch. Mitch was a little awkward, but still made some effort into talking to Alex. They mostly discussed previous missions, or traded embarrassing stories of other members. Well, Mitch did more of that. Alex could not bear talking about the other three members.

Scott was great too, matching Will in terms of height. He was more seriously than Mitch, but still talked a lot. He was asking mostly about Alex's tattoos.

Avi was a more quiet person. Even right now, he was just seated on a chair, drawing a map of the exterior of the property of George and Odin by memory. Alex dare not disturb the man.

Kevin had been sleeping all this time. Will said that he had been up last night doing the night watch.

Then, there was the final member of Ferrari, and it was Alex. Not Alex Goot, but a girl who went by the name of Alex G. She was loud and quirky, telling lousy joke after another. But Alex did not mind her presence, she lit up the room's ambience wherever she went.

" Are you still in pain?" Alex whispered to Elle, holding her close. She had bruises littered all over her skin, now turning a dark shade of purple. Elle wore shorts borrowed from Kirstie, so that they could attend to her wounds easily.

There was a jagged scar on one of her thighs, which Alex tried his best to ignore it, but he could tell that it was bothering Elle. He broke off a bit of the bread they were supposed to share, waving it in front of her mouth. Elle opened it, and Alex popped the piece of bread inside.

" Hey um, Elle? Can you tell us exactly what happened to the other Assassins? " Kevin questioned, settling his own mug down on the table. He had been trying to help Avi with the map.

Alex glanced at Elle, not missing the flicker of pain behind her eyes. She looked at Alex, then at Kevin, who was looking at her expectantly. Elle sighed, there was no possible way she could pretend that her three best friends was alright.

Morever, the Ferraris might be able to assist her and Alex. Perhaps she might give them the right information they needed to find a way in.

" We went in from the door entry L, because Chrissy had evaluated that it was the least guarded," Elle started to say, trying to prevent her voice from shaking. It was like the entire scene was replaying in front of her eyes.

" She was right, by right, you guys should have made it inside. What happened? " Avi prompted. His voice was not pushy nor bossy, it was like he was curious and puzzled.

Elle let herself suck in a quick breath of oxygen.

" They have trip wires and sensors. But there was something amiss, it was like they knew we were coming. The moment the siren went off, almost fifty soldiers had appeared," Elle told them. She remembered how they had all came charging in, almost instantly.
