Dear Prison Diary,

It was 7:00 at night and all throughout the day I was all over the city, buying the necessary things I would need for my plan.

That night the City Council would be welcoming men from all over town to enter in their vote for the new Mayor.

And I would be among them. Ready to vote for my own personal candidate.

I was walking down the sidewalk pass the giant buildings, ready to turn the corner and make my way to the facility to pay a visit to my old home. I hadn't been inside or seen anyone inside of it for a whole year except Layna.

But before I get to that, I'll tell you how my day started.

I woke up early by setting my alarm clock to 8:00 in the morning. Getting up out of bed, I ran to my bathroom, slipped through it and brushed my teeth in the sink. I also took a bath because, for all I knew, that could have been my last bath as a free woman but I was sure my plan would follow through. Still, you could never be too careful.

After coming out of the bathroom I threw on a white t-shirt, some ordinary jeans, a gray sweater, and some sneakers. I didn't want to come off as suspicious so I decided to dress casually.

I opened the door to my tiny closet and dug inside behind my clothes. Finally, found what I was looking for. A small jewelry box that my mother gave to me before she died. In it, I kept loads of money that I had saved from digging through couches, around the facility over the years. There was about 100$ in that box. I know, you'd be surprised how many moms of the little girls at the facility dropped their money on the couch.

I took it out and tucked it inside my pocket. I walked over to my dresser and picked up the photo of my mother. "You're gonna be so proud of me today Mom." I whispered to it and kissed it, then set it back down on the dresser. I grabbed the invitation beside it and folded it inside my other pocket. With one last look around my room, I left with just the clothes on my back and a huge load of cash in my pocket.

I felt like a big deal. Walking out of the apartment with a stack of cash and an invitation to a man's voting ceremony. All in one day!

The first thing I decided to do was buy a duffle bag so I could have something to carry my disguise in. I went to the nearest thrift store and found a plain looking brown duffel bag and bought it for just 10$.
With it in my hand, holding it by its strap, I headed over to the men's nearest clothing store.

Let's get back to where I was.

So when I had finally made it to the facility I banged on the hard metal door three times and on the other side I heard a voice that I immediately recognized.

"Who is it?" I heard her say and I smiled.

"Madame!" I replied.

"Madame who?" she said back. I smiled wider.

"Madame feet are tired. Open up!" I yelled back and I could hear her chuckling. I heard her fingers tap on a keypad and when it beeped the door opened revealing herself.

It was Ms.Kristi.

"Ms.Kristi!" I said with a gasp and pulled her in for a tight heart-warming hug. She hugged me just as tight and we stood there like that for a moment. That woman. That wonderful woman was the one who told me of my mother's death and took care of me thereafter until I left the facility. I hadn't seen her since I left on my 18th birthday. She pulled away and held me firmly by my shoulders beaming her smile at me.
