Welcome To The Moment

Month: June Day:18 Year: 2090

Time: 7:45

Dear Prison Diary,

"You're stupid though."

Was what she said to me that broke me from my trance.

I slept with her that night.

No not like that!

I slept with her in her bed...as in we slept beside each other and we fell asleep.

She asked me to lay with her.

"Lay with me?" She whispered softly in a voice I'd never heard from her before after our breathtaking kiss and with a blushing smile I nodded my head and stuttered "y-yeah".

Now normally this would have stunned me, I would have choked on my own spit if she had asked me that under any other occasion.

I would have asked her if she was feeling alright and take it as a joke, maybe think she was playing with me.

But Violet kissed me.

She kissed me.

Anything she'd ask me to do, I would do.

As long as it meant she'd kiss me like that again.

I crawled over to her pillow and slowly laid down by the cold metal wall with my arm bent behind my head.
Violet soon followed after, laying her head down gently on the other side of her pillow while facing me.I was shaking badly. I couldn't relax at all. I was laying next to Violet in her bed!!

A few weeks prior to that, it would have never happened.

Violet wouldn't be caught dead letting me lay down in her bed with her.

She'd rather let a rat sleep with her than me.

But things were different now.

We were different now.

I just had to figure out how...

I turned my head to her and our eyes met once again. Immediately they locked and wouldn't stare at anything else in the world. Her eyes were like a mirror, a dark dark mirror and I could see myself in them. I could see myself in Violet's eyes. I wondered if she could see herself in mines.

Slowly the corners of her mouth started turning up as she continued to stare into my eyes. For the first time ,Violet smiled with all her teeth and can I tell you again, Violet's smile was something to behold. It was like the glowing light at the end of a cave. The light that you had been wondering when would come. It was a dark road inside the cave but when you saw that light, you realized that those hours in the darkness were worth it.

Finally.

She was smiling...and it was because of me.

Violet was happy...because of me.

I could feel my lips start to turn up at the corners and I knew that my smile was coming to. It was not something to be controlled, I was happy and when you're happy, you're happy, nothing you can do about it.

I gave a smile right back to her, all my teeth and we stayed like that. Both of us staring at each other with gleaming smiles on our faces. We probably looked really creepy but to us, it didnt feel creepy, it felt...perfect.

Suddenly Violet's hand reached up and it was nearing closer and closer to my face and when she touched my cheek, I could feel my heart beat hard. She traced her finger down my cheek to my chin and then gently over my lips and stopped there. My whole face was getting hot and I knew my cheeks were red even in the cold degree room.
