Dear Prison Diary,

I heard a few gasps and curses throughout the crowd of prisoners. They must not have been a fan of him either. But they just hated him because he was holding them captive. I actually had a connection with the man.

Not a good one though.

I quickly turned my head to where everyone's eyes were stationed. It was hard to see between so many bodies but I managed to make out his expensive suit.

Layna's hands were holding onto my arm still as she peaked through the crowd.

My mind started to replay the events over and over in my head. It was hard to believe only a week ago I found out who my father was and that Layna contacted him. It felt like a year. All those emotions swelled up inside my heart came from him.

Luckily Violet was there.

Suddenly my father stepped forward parting the crowd straight down the middle. It was like he had that effect on them.

I felt a hand slide up my leg and grip my knee firmly. I gasped and when I looked up I knew it was Violet's hand. She was looking me straight in the eye with extreme seriousness and a bit of concern.

"Just relax, okay?" She whispered softly and slowly like the way she did when those guards were laughing at me. She held my gaze waiting for me to respond.

"I'll try." I whispered back biting my lip trying to keep myself from building up too much emotion.

All I needed was a chill pill.

She narrowed her eyes before nodding her head and turning around to look at him.

I didn't think she believed me.

He had his hands behind his back with his chin raised with confidence. The two guards that took me out of my cell, accompanied with the guard that brang Layna here, walked behind him guarding him.

The guards were rude and ruthless spitting vulgar words at prisoners that were in their way.

"Such bastards." I whispered.

Finally my father was in the line of everyone's sight. He had our full attention but he refused to speak just to watch us squirm.

The whole room was silent as his eyes scanned every face of every prisoner to my right. His eyes, although brown and big like mine, were cold and evil and did not hold a slither of sympathy for any of his prisoners.

Finally his eyes landed on my mine and I felt every single bone in my body freeze. When he looked at me there was a glint in his eye that I didn't see when he looked at anyone else. Slowly one corner of his mouth turned up in a sinister smirk.

The blood in my body boiled as he looked at me in a mocking way. If looks could kill he would have been dead.

Violet's cold hand squeezed my knee harder as her dark eyes stared daggers right at my father. She was murdering him with her very eyes and it strangely brought comfort to me.
'She is probably doing it for Layna's sake.' I thought in my head and it strangely did not make me feel good.

Layna's hands suddenly gripped my arm as she hugged it close to her. I could feel her shaking like a hyper-active chuiaha. I realized that it was her first time seeing my father. She had spoken to him but she had never seen him before.

Also the guard who had man- handled her the first day she came was standing right behind Rus.

Who knew what else he did. I knew she was scared, but I wasn't sure if it was because of Rus or the guard.
