Dear Prison Diary,

I stood there on the hard cold floor and walked back and forth pacing. I wasn't sure if it was from excitement or anxiety or both. All I knew was my sister was going to be outside the door soon.

My hands shook, actually my whole body shook. I just couldn't control my many emotions that were whirling around in my head. I had been up since 4:00 without much sleep. I wanted to get out there. I needed to get out there.

As I paced the room I started to practice what I would say to her when I saw her. 'What could I possibly say?'

"Oh god, this is impossible..." I whispered in one very low breath. This was not going to be as easy as I thought. What could you possibly say to your sister who was in jail because of you?

From beside me, I heard a low but audible sound. Sounded as if someone was clearing their throat to get my attention. I looked to the side of me and there sat Violet on her bed looking up at me with her fist covering her mouth.

She lowered her fist down and studied me for a second squinting her eyes for some reason. Whatever it was she was about to say it strangely made me nervous.

"May I add some advice?" She asked me softly with her silky but dark voice. My eyes widened a little with surprise and I took a small step back. Advice? Violet wanted to give me advice. Why? I didnt know.

"What kind of advice are you trying to add and why?" I snapped emphasizing out the word "why" to let her know that I was being cautious and suspicious of her. You never really knew what she was up to.

She rolled her eyes and let out a frustrated sigh. She then stood up and took a step closer to me.

"Relax I'm not going to kill you." She stated slowly and sarcastically but I wasn't laughing.

"Why would you want to give me advice?" I asked her and put my arm confidently on my hip with sass. She thought she could intimidate me. Well, she was wrong.

She did something unexpected, though. She copied my movements and put her strong arm on her own hip with sass just like I had. To say I was surprised was an understatement.

She raised her eyebrow and lifted up her chin so she seemed, even more, taller than me than before. I swallowed one gulp and prepared for her to answer.

"Well you're not just going to wake me up in the middle of the night with you're screaming and in hysterics and not let me provide some input." She said

I cocked my head to the side and furrowed my eyebrows. That was not the answer I was expecting.

"Hmm...Okay.." I said with confusion and raised my eyebrow just like she did hers. "What is your advice for me?"

She took a deep breath and gave it a little thought before she said "I think you should tell your sister what it is you're feeling from the heart." She said putting her hand on her chest

When she said that it took a second for me to really comprehend it. I just stood there in front of her with a blank expression on my face. She raised her eyebrows waiting for my reaction and the next thing I did would be my big mistake.

I laughed.

I laughed my ass off. I was bent down on the floor huffing and puffing from my mouth holding onto my stomach. I laughed so much until there was no sound coming from my mouth. Every time I tried to stop laughing I just burst into a fit again and crumbled to the floor. I hadn't looked up at Violet yet but I know in her head she was probably thinking "what the f*ck is wrong with this girl?"
