Dear Prison Diary,
I stared at Violet with suspicion! The look on her face just screamed that she was up to something.
She slowly walked closer towards Layna taking her time with every step until finally she was right in front of her.
Layna looked like she was holding her breath as she shyly looked up at my cellmate. The corner of her mouth twitched a little almost like she was about to smile but then she decided against it.
I watched with caution and suspicion as Violet studied my sister up close. Why was she doing it? I didnt know.
Violet shook her head slowly and then she started to shake her head with more enthusiasm. Under her breath, I kept hearing her say "nope"nope"nope".
'What was wrong with her?Oh yeah, a lot of things.' I thought
I decided that it was time for me to pipe up.
"What's wrong with you Violet? What are you doing?" I asked her getting annoyed as she kept doing it and crossed her arms across her chest.
Layna peeked up at me from the side of her eye and mouthed the word "Violet?" in a questioning manner. She pointed her finger at Violet as if to say "is this her?". I nodded at her and immediately her eyes filled with fear.
Mine would too if I met the person who could f*ck up someone like Skunk.
I looked away from Layna and back up at Violet and noticed that she wasn't shaking her head anymore. She was staring at me with those piercing dark brown eyes. She didn't blink once. She just stared right at me.
This made me feel a little uneasy so I looked away but her eyes kept drawing mine back to them.
I've always hated when people stared at me especially men.
Okay, only men.
"Nope, nope, nope." Violet started again irritating me even more. She was shaking her head back and forth like she was crazy and I had no idea what for.
"Hey!" I shouted finally catching her's and Layna's attention.
"What is your problem? Why are you shaking your head? Or is that just a nervous twitch?" I said to her with a lot of sarcasm in my voice. I wasn't in the mood for any of her games then.
She slowly rose her hand up to Layna's face pointing at it and I swear I could see Layna gulp.
"She" Violet started "looks nothing like you." She said and when she said "you" her hand drifted to me. I stared at her in confusion.
I wanted to tell her that Layna wasn't my blood sister but I wanted to see how far she would take this.
"Okay.....so?" I said with an extra pinch of sassiness just to spice her up. Layna peaked at me from the side and shook her head "no" but again I ignored her.
"Um actually...." Layna finally piped up attracting both mine and Violet's attention. "Avalon and I aren't-"
She started but I cut her off just in time knowing what she was going to say.
"We aren't from the same dad!" I shouted over her voice and Layna stared at me with utter shock. Layna hated it when I lied but I couldn't help it. I was a compulsive liar.
Violet glanced at me like she knew I was lying and then she looked at Layna once again.
"You're very beautiful." Violet whispered softly to Layna causing her to look down and blush and my jaw to fell down to the floor.
