Chapter 57: Surprise

(Author's POV)

While putting Monica to sleep, Kyle himself got lost in the world of dreams and as for Monica, she was not going to sleep because vampires do not sleep.

He had been caressing her for so long but now he buried his nose in her neck and started snoring. She didn't get angry at this, instead she chuckled and then got up carefully pushing him aside so that he wouldn't wake up. She wrote something on a piece of paper and then pecked him on the forehead and left.

His eyes opened with a jolt and he woke up whispering "Monica." He looked next to him and found the bed empty. He got out of bed and went towards the bathroom, only to find the door open, so he understood that she wasn't there. He then went to the kitchen and she wasn't there either. He looked at the clock and it was 6 am.

He went back to his room and now he starting to panic, wondering where she had gone so early in the morning.

"What the hell! She was literally freezing last night and now suddenly she left so early in the morning without telling me anything. Why didn't she wake me? Is she angry with me?" He started blabbering when his eyes fell on a piece of paper kept on the table next to the bed.

Kyle

Thank you so much for taking care of me. I'm fine now, so don't worry about me. By the way, let me just say something, please don't mind. Whatever anger you have is with me. But why are you distancing yourself from your loved ones just because of the tension between us, Kyle? I think you should go live with your parents. They need you.

He was surprised after reading this but slowly a smile appeared on his lips and he thought, she is not wrong though.

(Mayson's POV)

I returned home tired from the gym early in the morning and saw that there was silence. "Mom! Dad! Anyone here!" I called out several times but there was no response. There was just silence all around. Where did these two go so early in the morning, that too without telling anything? I thought and then my eyes fell on the note stuck on the fridge.

Note: Come to Siphora resort as soon as possible son, we are waiting for you.

After reading it, I spent about thirteen minutes scratching my head, wondering what the matter could be. What kind of a half-baked note is this? I swear, something incredibly bizarre is brewing behind my back, and before someone else tastes it, I'll have to go and see what's going on. I quickly got ready and got into my car to go to the Siphora resort.

This resort is usually booked only for special occasions like anniversary, weddings, honeymoons, etc. But I don't know what special occasion I've been invited to today. Duh!

After reaching Siphora resort, as soon as I entered from the main gate, there was a huge balloon in front with the words, Welcome, written on it, and an arrow was drawn showing the left direction. What's going on? I thought and started walking to the left direction.

After walking a little distance, I entered the resort garden where beautiful dahlias were aesthetically blooming and amidst these flowers, again a huge balloon had the words, Happy Birthday written on it. Seeing this, I was stunned and then suddenly my parents came shouting "Surprise!"

"What! Mom! Dad!" I said, surprised and they hugged me saying, "happy birthday, son." Woah! I didn't even remember! I thought and was overjoyed and said, "Thanks! So that's why I was called here?" They nodded and my mother said, "Not only this, there are two more surprises waiting for you."

"What?" I asked curiously, and then suddenly a koala attacked me and yelled loudly into my ears, "Happy birthday to you broooo!" and when this koala pulled away from me, I saw that it wasn't actually a koala, but Kyle.

"Kyle! My big brother! My friend! My only manager! Where have you been all these days, my bro?" I asked him.

"My darling overacting shop, only you knew where I was and now she also knows." He said and mumbled the last part of the sentence.

"Who knows what?" I asked raising my eyebrows, but my father interrupted, "Hey, are you two planning to stay in the garden all day? We've even booked rooms here. I'm not that stingy anyway." Hearing this, we all laughed and then my mother said, "Come inside quickly, another surprise is waiting for you."

(Author's POV)

In a small house, almost in ruins, in the middle of an unknown deserted forest, a boy was lying unconscious on a chair and a girl was sitting beside him, staring at him as if she had made a big kill.

As soon as the boy regained consciousness, he slowly opened his eyes and for a few moments he could not understand the current situation. He tried to get up from the chair but he found that his hands and legs were tied to the chair. He was terrified when he realized that he was in some big trouble. When he looked around in fear, he saw a girl staring at him.

"Welcome to my territory Eric Forbes." The girl said.

"Wh-who are y-you?" He asked in fear.

"I'm Aurora, your girlfriend." She said, smirking viciously.

"Wh-what?" He asked.

"Hey! Why are you so surprised? Oh sorry you are seeing my real face for the first time." She said sarcastically and slowly took the form of Genevieve.

Eric was horrified to see that and she said, "what? I can take the form of anyone I want. I can also take the form of animals. Isn't it interesting?"

He started trembling in fear. His breath became heavy and now he started gasping and seeing this Aurora said, "such a scaredy cat you are." and started laughing like a maniac.

"What do you want? Please let me go. Let me go." He said struggling to free himself and tears started rolling down his cheeks.

"Where will you go? Do you even know where you are right now?" She asked and he looked at her in panic.

"You are inside the well where your brother narrowly escaped death nineteen years ago." She said and he froze in fear.
