Chapter 12

___

Austin's POV

Taylor and I walked along the seaside, hand in hand. It was a feeling I haven't felt in a long time. And it was a true feeling. One that was sincere, loving, and kind.

I didn't want it to end.

I've never been with someone who's made me feel this way.

Except for Alyssa.

In the fourth grade, I remember she would always make me laugh and I would make her laugh. I loved her smile. I turned to Taylor and into her beautiful blue eyes that sparkled in the sunset. It was a perfect moment. We stared at each other for a few seconds. I looked at her lips and went in for a kiss. I truly felt sparks.

We pulled back and stared into each other's eyes once again. They were beautiful. Just like Alyssa's. I could look at them all day.

Oh no... I think I'm starting to like Taylor.

I said goodbye to Taylor and headed back to the hotel, thoughts going through my head.

I want to be with Alyssa. But at the same time, I want to be with Taylor. It was giving me a headache so I tried thinking about other things. I reached our room in the hotel and opened the door. Robert and Alex were on their phones.

"Hey guys." I said, laying on the bed.

"How was your date?" Alex said, raising his eyebrows.

"It was ok... I need to talk though." I said, sitting up. Alex and Robert immediately looked up from their phones and gave their attention to me.

"I kissed Taylor." I got straight to the point. Their jaws were dropped. Eyes wide.

"But you just met her!" Robert bursted.

"Was it fun?" Alex joked.

"I don't know what I was doing. I was just... Caught in the moment."

Alyssa's POV

Austin wasn't back yet so I decided to go take a shower. I got changed and walked out and into the smell of alcohol or something along those lines.

"Only you, Madison." I laughed brushing my hair as I watched her painting her nails.

"Oh c'mon, I know you would do it too..." She said, jokingly.

Ten minutes later, I heard the door open in the guys' room and knew it was Austin. I heard mumbles through the door. I started getting suspicious because it was quiet.

Too quiet.

___

Why do teachers have to assign so much homework? Like, they expect me to do 36 math problems on square roots, write notes on three different sections in science, read a story from our literature book/answer five essay questions, finish a study guide for history, study for my Spanish test this week, and get eight hours of sleep at night.

Um, no. I don't think so.
