Alyssa's POV
I let out a small sigh. "Yes, I'll be your girlfriend." I looked up at him and smiled.
"YES!" He suddenly bursted out. I swear it scared the crap out of me.
"Shhh!" I shushed, not wanting to bother the neighbor that was out in their yard next door who was now giving us a look.
"Oh... Sorry." He chuckled. It was silent for a second, until my phone buzzed.
New text message: Madison
Aww you guys are so cute already!"
A big grin spread across my face as I texted back.
'Yeah well, we'll see how it goes...' I sent, then put my phone in my pocket.
"Oh and one thing," I started, " can we not tell anyone... Yet? Well like, besides Madison, Alex, Robert, Zach, those guys. I don't want us to be the big talk of the school and I just got back and everything and people might think that I-" I was shut up by lips pressed against mine. Man, I felt sparks. His lips were as soft as clouds and they were so perfect. I could kiss him all day if I had to. The way our lips moved in sync made the moment just... Perfect.
When I pulled back, I could see the glow in Austin's eyes, telling me that he was genuinely happy.
"So... Um, I should get back..." I hooked my thumb over my shoulder pointed towards the door.
"Uh, yeah. See you tomorrow." He smiled and scratched the back of his neck. I walked back into the house quickly to not make it awkward and I shut the door. I took a second to take in everything that just happened.
Did I really just give in? Ugh. Stupid Alyssa.
But I had to admit, I knew it was going to happen sooner or later.
"So... When are you guys going on your first date?" Madison jumped out of nowhere, giving me a slight heart attack.
"I don't know actually..." I answered.
"You guys are perfect together, I swear." She squealed.
"Don't tell anyone about us though okay?" I pointed a finger.
"I promise!" She said laughing.
"Seriously!" I whined like a child asking for a toy that their parents wouldn't buy.
"Alright, fine, but when are you going to let everyone know about you guys?" She turned all serious.
"Soon, but not yet." I crossed my arms, thinking.
