Austin's POV

"I can't take it anymore!" I slammed my fist on the lunch table after Alyssa and Madison left.

"Dude, what's wrong?" Robert sat on the table.

"Alyssa!" I whispered loudly.

"What about her?" He asked.

"You already know the answer to that." I glared at him.

"Then why don't you ask her out already?" Zach chipped in.

"If only it was that easy..." I mumbled.

"Why don't you talk to her?" Robert asked.

"She doesn't even give me a chance to!" I threw my hands up.

"Ok, how 'bout for starters, you talk to her AFTER school." Zach suggested. I raised an eyebrow at the thought.

"But what am I supposed to say?" I looked down.

"I think you should just ask her out already..." Alex finally spoke up.

"You think so? What if she says no?" I shrugged.

"What if she doesn't?" Alex answered.

I tapped my fingers on the lunch table, the decision becoming more and more confusing.

"Fine. But I need your guys' help." I smirked.

Alyssa's POV

Getting home afterschool, Madison and I went up to my room.

"So I got a text from Austin... Apparently, he needed to talk?" I checked my phone once again.

"What'd you say?" Madison said eagerly.

"Nothing... What do you think he's going to ask?" I sat on the bed and crisscrossed my legs.

"I don't know..." She acted innocent.

"Um, ok..." I laughed.

Then my phone buzzed again:

New text message: Austin

Meet me outside in ten minutes.

I showed Madison the text and she gasped loudly.

"Awe, this is the cutest thing ever!" She cheered, clapping her hands.

"What? No, we're not even together how is this cute?" I shook my head.

I grabbed Madison's arm and we skipped downstairs. I got to the front door and paused.

Ok Alyssa, get yourself together. Don't be so easy on him. I thought to myself.

I took a deep breath and opened the door, revealing Austin and a... Guitar?

I stepped outside and Madison stood in the doorway. I slowly walked up to a smiling Austin, not breaking eye contact.

"You wanted me here?" I asked, my tone sounding like I didn't know anything at all.

"Yeah I um... Wrote a song for you." He began strumming chords and soon enough, he was singing a song he called Say Somethin. Just the first few lines and the chorus though. My feelings got the best of me and I couldn't help but blush.

"This is so cute!" I heard Madison squeal behind us. I turned back and slightly laughed. Then I turned back around to meet Austin's eyes.

"So you know I really like you and..." He looked down and held my hand in his.

"Alyssa Madden, will you be my girlfriend?" He finished. I stared into his hazel eyes that I never seem to get tired of.

I thought for a minute and looked at our hands that were now intertwined.

Should I give in that easily?
