Chapter 9
___
Austin's POV
I woke up the next morning and immediately started thinking about Alyssa.
Why can't I get her out of my head? Every time I see her face, it just brightens my day. I don't even know why I still want her. After realizing I've hurt her so much in middle school, made her life miserable, why do I still like her?
I went and took a quick shower before changing into my red Trukfit crew neck and black basketball shorts. Robert and Alex were still asleep so I sat on the bed and looked at my phone.
I wonder what the girls are doing.
Wait, what am I saying?
Robert and Alex woke up ten minutes later and they got changed.
"Where should we go today?" I asked, clearly bored.
"Wherever you guys want, ask the girls." Alex said putting on a shirt.
We decided to go take surfing lessons, just cause. I mean, why not?
When we got to the surf area, they were giving free private surf lessons. My teacher was a nice girl with a beautiful body. I watched as everyone else got their teachers and headed off. I saw Alyssa walk of with a tall, handsome guy who would definitely hit on her.
Oh, no no no.
Alyssa's POV
My surf teacher was actually cuter than I expected. He had a very toned body with a six pack. Any girl could easily fall for him. But not me. I still had my sights set for Austin.
"I'm Alyssa by the way." I said as we walked to the seaside.
"Nice to meet you Alyssa, I'm Jake. So have you had any experience with surfing before?"He smiled.
"Actually, yes, my dad used to always take my surfing every June. But I was never really good." I replied truthfully.
"Well that's what I'm here for!" Jake said happily. He handed me a surfboard and taught me how to stand on it while riding. It was actually easier than I thought.
Now it was time to actually ride a wave. I laid on the surfboard and paddled myself out into the ocean. I saw a huge wave coming close and I had no idea if I should catch it or not. I decided to catch it.
I paddled a little more and once the wave was close enough, I stood up and the next thing I knew, I was surfing. The breeze felt amazing. I got to shore and picked up my surfboard. I turned around to see everyone's faces in awe.
"Hello?" I said to Jake confused.
"Oh, sorry, it's just, usually people aren't that amazing at surfing on their first try." Jake stuttered. I just laughed and turned to see Austin trying to catch a wave too.
I watched as he paddled, got close to a wave and stood up. It was one of the biggest waves too. I blinked for a second, and the next thing I see, Austin's gone. Nowhere in sight. We all ran over to the seaside to see Austin. He must've fallen or something because all we saw was his surfboard. I watched as Jake ran into the water and jumped in, trying to find Austin.
