Alyssa's POV

 

"Welcome to Access Hollywood! I'm your host, Mario Lopez and today we have quite a bit of exciting news. First of, Miley Cyrus. I mean really, the hair?" The tv filled with sound as I watched one of my favorite shows.

"Oh come on, I kind if like it." Another host chipped in.

"Well, we'll see how the media thinks about her new hair cut soon. Next up, we have a new breakout artist that was recently discovered because of how many views he has gotten on YouTube on his videos. This young singer is only 16, living in the state of Texas. He sings covers of many popular songs on YouTube such as 'Mistletoe' by Justin Bieber and 'With You' by Chris Brown. I don't know if you guys have heard about him, if you haven't, you can go on YouTube and search up the name 'Austin Mahone'. Very talented kid, hope to meet him someday. Coming up, Kim Kardashian and Kanye, or as most of their fans call them, Kimye, next, on Access Hollywood." I completely froze.

Did they just say... Austin... Mahone...? My Austin Mahone?

I clicked the tv off and grabbed my laptop. I found the YouTube app and opened it up, typing in 'Austin Mahone'. More than 20 covers popped up and I clicked the 'Boyfriend' cover.

Dang, he sounded amazing. Why better than I was on stage in that mall in Hawaii. That reminded me... That guy, what was his name, Will Clark? Didn't he want to sign me or something?

I dug through my purse to find the small card he had given me with his name and his number.

I thought for a minute... Is it too late to call him?

Then, without thinking, I grabbed my phone and unlocked it, dialing the number on the card. It rang three times until someone picked it up.

"Fusion Rock Records how may I help you?" The voice sounded feminine so it definitely wasn't Will's.

"Uh hi, I'm Alyssa Madden. May I speak to Will Clark? He told me to call him about giving me a record deal..." I spoke clearly.

"I'll be right back, please hold." She said quickly. I waited for about three minutes until a deeper, more manlier voice answered.

"Will Clark, what do you need?" He also said quickly. Geez what's with producers and everyone talking so quickly?

"Hi I'm Alyssa Madden. We met in Hawaii at that one mall where I sang and you thought I sounded amazing. You told me to call you about giving me a record deal?" I said slowly.

"Ah yes, good to talk to you again Alyssa. And yes, I talked to my people and they think it's a great idea to sign you. We need a fresh new voice and I think YOU'RE that voice. I am in Houston right now and we need to schedule a meeting. Does this Saturday at 5:00 pm sound good?" He sounded like he was busy writing or something.
