Chapter 32

___

Alyssa's POV

"You can stay over if you want." Austin smirked as he parked the car outside his house.

"Are you sure? Your parents won't mind?" I stepped out of the car and shut the door.

"Not at all. Our parents know each other anyway so it won't be a bother. He stepped out too and locked the car. We made our way towards the house when suddenly, Austin put his arm in front of me as if to block me from a cliff.

"Wait. Lets go this way." He lightly pulled my arm towards the back of his house. We came up to a black metal gate and he unlocked it, pushing it forward so we were in his backyard. To be honest, it was the most beautiful thing ever. There was a huge garden that looked like it had more than thirty different types of flowers. There was a tiny pond with a few fish in it and the path that lead to it were small flat slabs of stone. I was stunned.

"Woah..." I looked around, surrounded by the sweet aroma of roses and lavenders. I slowly walked around to look at the beautiful flowers when I felt arms wrap around my waist.

"This is where I go to write my songs." He said in his low, husky voice while he rested his chin on my shoulder. I put my hands on his that were wrapped around me and I felt so safe in his arms.

"Here, I wanna show you something." He let go and I suddenly felt like I wasn't protected anymore. I felt him take my hand in his and I followed him as he led me past the beautiful garden and into a small meadow. The grass was so tall, it went up to my stomach. Not far away, I spotted two small trees. As we got closer, I noticed a small hammock. When we reached the trees, I watched as Austin sat on the hammock and patted the side for me to sit with him. We both laid backwards at the same time and looked up at the sky. For a while, we started talking about what the clouds looked like.

"That one kinda looks like a heart." Austin pointed up.

"That one looks like a bunny." I giggled. When I realized it was completely quiet, I turned to Austin to make sure he was still alive. Instead, I met his sparkling eyes and shining smile that were staring at me. I felt a little blush and I smiled back.

"You're eyes are beautiful." He said out of nowhere.

"Thanks..." I blushed not being able to hold back the biggest smile.

We stared at each other for a while until I noticed Austin started leaning in closer. I sensed his hand come up and pull my chin closer until his were hovering over mine ever so slightly.

"I love you." He whispered in his husky voice before our lips met. I felt sparks exploding everywhere. His surprisingly soft lips on mine were a perfect match. It was like a dream that I never want to wake up from. Eventually, we both pulled back and stared at each other for a while again.
