A sword, more knives, make sure my face mask is good-
"Cassie are you sure about this" A voice interrupted my mental list. I glanced at Skylor but continued grabbing things.
"Of course, it's to help the city" I replied. That's the reason it should be after all.
"Are you sure it's about the city?" Skylor asked, walking over to me. Grabbing my hands to force me to look up at her, Skylor looked at me with pity, or maybe it was concern.
I shook her hands off "Even if its not, its easier to pretend then to accept...." I trailed off for a moment "It doesn't matter. I'm going to help them, maybe help fix my mistake".
"It wasn't your fault" Skylor reminded. I shook my head.
"It was though... look I know it's not my fault she died, but I could have stopped it if I wasn't such a..." I sighed to myself "I won't engage much, just help them out".
"What if it makes it worse for you?" Skylor questioned. I didn't know how to answer to that.
"Don't worry about that... I'll just keep my identity secret and help them out. Besides-" I smiled at Sky "maybe Teal will pop up and I can make my ex jealous". Skylor shrugged.
"There's always that I guess. I know I can't change your mind- so good luck Cassie"
