Sam and Gabriel appeared within the motel room, and Castiel jumped at their sudden appearance. He saw Sam there, and narrowed his eyes, recognizing him as the guy who had saved his life but was also supposedly an angel.

"Gabriel what's going on?" Castiel asked.

"This guy needs our help," Gabriel said, glaring at the tall guy. "Says his name is Sam Winchester. Wanna check that out?" Castiel nodded and opened his laptop while Sam looked around the room curiously.

Castiel did a quick search of all the records he could get his hands on. There definitely seemed to be a Sam Winchester in existence. Except for one main fact.

"Sam what are you?" Castiel asked. "Immortal, wings. Doesn't fit with any of our records."

"Wait immortal?" Gabriel asked.

"He's seen throughout history all over the world," Castiel said, showing Gabriel the images he had found. Gabriel scowled.

"Okay, what the hell are you?" Gabriel asked.

"I'm an angel of the lord," Sam said. "Well, maybe not really of the lord anymore, but still an angel."

"What the hell are you talking about?" Gabriel asked, pulling his gun out. "Hurry or you're going to get shot."

Sam eyed the gun. "I really don't think violence is going to help." A gunshot echoed through the room and Castiel looked at Gabriel in shock.

"I don't think shooting him is going to help," he said, walking over to Sam. Then he froze when he saw Sam.

Sam was looking down at the bullet wound curiously. He flicked his hand and the bullet fell out, and then the wound healed itself almost instantly.

"Okay, so what are you?" Gabriel asked, a little bit more cautiously this time.

"I told you. I'm an angel."

"I call bull."

"Well I would show you my wings but..."

"But what?"

"Angels don't normally show their wings to just anyone. It's kind of an intimate gesture."

Gabriel stopped a bit at that. "Okay...well we won't take it weirdly at all, and we're going to need proof."

Sam still looked a little reluctant. Then his eyes lit up. "Well I can do this instead."

The lights suddenly burst out, and a bright light came from Sam. And behind him on the wall were two giant shadows, in the shape of wings. They spread a bit wider, moving as Sam straightened, and then abruptly disappeared as the light from Sam went away.

"Did you have to break the lights?" Castiel asked.

"Well if he didn't it would ruin the effect," Gabriel said, who looked just completely in awe at what he had just seen.

"The motel's going to make us pay for that," Castiel muttered.

"Or we could just get out of here before they notice," Gabriel said. Castiel glanced at him, confused by the sudden change of mood.

"So exactly why do you need our help?" Castiel asked. Sam sighed.

"My brother, Dean. He's an angel too. That demon you saw earlier, they took something from heaven, so we thought we'd try and get it back. But the demons have it under heavy security, so we thought we'd try and bargain with them. Their terms however were ridiculous, so we didn't agree. I believe both of you were there for that."

"Is that where Cassie was a bargaining chip and you saved his ass?"

Sam nodded. "I brought him back here. But I got back there and both the demon and Dean were gone."
