Gabriel sat in the motel, waiting for Castiel to come back after getting information. It had been several weeks since the angel incident, and they hadn't even seen a sign of the angels since. Gabriel was thinking about this when Cas finally opened the door.
"Vampire nest," he said simply. Gabriel noticed that there was blood on his clothes.
"What happened?" he asked.
"They attacked me," Castiel said. "Then I caught one and tortured the location from him. Before he died he said something about an alpha though."
"Weird," Gabriel said. "Well, lets go some evil bloodsuckers."
Castiel wouldn't let Gabriel drive, being too protective of the car he'd become quite attached too. Gabriel had convinced him to buy it, but it quickly grew on him.
They pulled up to the location, an abandoned warehouse. They got out of car in sync, grabbing weapons out of the trunk before walking cautiously into the warehouse.
Gabriel held the blade tightly, watching for any signs of movement. There was nothing, not even a sound echoing through the place.
As Castiel and Gabriel got to the centre of the room, Gabriel noticed shadows in the darkness. The shadows then stepped into the light, showing vampire teeth. Except there was a lot of them. A lot more than Cassie had said.
"Cassie, I think we may be in trouble," Gabriel muttered through his teeth.
"Don't worry, we'll be okay," Castiel said. "There's only about ten or so."
"Yeah and that's a lot."
"We've had worse."
"Have we? Have we really?"
Strangely, none of the vampires advanced on the group. Instead, another vampire walked into the room. He looked a lot more important than the rest.
"Who the hell are you?" Gabriel asked.
"I'm the alpha vampire," he said. "And you, are invading my lair."
"We're hunters, it's what we do," Castiel said. "What do you mean by alpha?"
"Wow great hunters you are if you don't even know that," the vampire said, smirking. "I think I'll leave you to my children." He turned and left the room, and then the vampires attacked.
Gabe and Cas tried their best to fend off the attacks of the many vampires, but there was too many. There wasn't enough time to kill one before another was jumping at them.
Eventually Gabriel was struck down, knocked hard against a wall. He watched with blurry eyes as the vampires got a hold on Cassie and one of them prepared to turn Cassie to a vampire.
"No," Gabriel choked out, but blood filled his mouth. A vampire kicked him against the wall again, and he fell to the ground, hearing going quiet except for his own heart beat. "Cassie."
I have to do something, Gabe thought. Can't let them touch Cassie. Need help.
Gabriel rushed through any possible solutions and then settled on one. One he really thought wouldn't work but it was his only hope.
"Sam if you really do hear prayers then I pray to you because I need your help and I need it now so please if you can hear me, help me."
Nothing happened.
Gabriel swore and watched helplessly as the vampires tried to turn Cassie. And then everything went black for him.
