Cas walked through Chuck's house, to the room Dean had been spending all his time in. He sighed as he saw Dean there, head resting on an open book, snoring softly. He was surrounded by various other books, and it looked like a few had been thrown across the room.
Cas sighed again and picked up the falling books, putting them gently back on the table. They'd been at Chuck's house for a week and Dean had been looking for a way to get his grace back non stop. Needless to say, there was nothing.
Cas looked at the book that had been thrown and flicked through a few pages. He then noticed that there was a page ripped out of it. He looked around the room quickly before noticing it scrunched up in a corner. He picked it up and read through it quickly.
It explained how to take away the bond between angels. Would probably work between a human and angel too. Dean would get his grace back...but the bond would be lost.
Cas stared at the piece of paper for a few moments, blinking at it. He glanced over at Dean. He couldn't have actually considered this...or maybe he just immediately ripped it out. Cas couldn't tell.
"Heya Cassie," Gabe said, walking into the room. He was missing his usual mischief.
"Gabriel," Cas said in greeting. "Are you...okay?"
"Fine," Gabe said. "How's the human?"
"Don't say that to him, he'll kill you."
"How are you dealing with his continuous hate for humanity?"
Cas just sighed. "I...I don't want to talk about it."
Gabe raised an eyebrow. "Don't worry, you'll be fine. He's not going to do anything that would hurt you."
Cas just walked out of the room, shoving the piece of paper into Gabe's chest as he did. Gabe watched Cas leave and then looked down at the scrunched piece of paper. He read over it quickly before glaring over at Dean.
He walked over to the desk and slammed it down in front of Dean. Dean jumped awake, looking with confusion at Gabe.
"Dude what the hell?" he said.
"What is this?" Gabe asked in a growl, pointing at the piece of paper between them.
"It's..." Dean looked at it. "A dismissed idea."
"If you considered it for even a moment I swear—"
"I didn't!" Dean said. "I wouldn't do that to Cas..."
Gabe narrowed his eyes. "If for one moment you ever do, I swear, I don't care if you're Sam's brother, I'll smite you myself."
Dean went to scoff, laugh at the idea of a human killing him, before he remembered he was human too. Gabe just glared again before walking out of the room.
Dean looked down at the piece of paper that explained how to break a bond. Truth be told, he had ripped out the piece of paper to keep. Then he'd contemplated it for several hours before throwing it away.
He wouldn't do that to Cas...would he?

Gabe sat in the kitchen as Chuck was sitting across from him, typing on his laptop. Probably writing another one of those books he made a living off of. Chuck glanced up at him.
"Are you okay Gabriel?" he asked, noticing the way Gabe was staring off at nothing with an almost scared expression.
Gabe snapped back to reality. "Yeah I'm fine. Just...it's nothing."
"What is it?"
"Nothing."
"You're a stubborn idiot now tell me."
