Sam always was an awkward angel. Which meant he had no idea what to do when Gabriel kissed him. Gabe knew this however and just smiled into the kiss before pulling away.
"You're so awkward it's adorable," Gabe said. Sam just looked at him with wide eyes. "How do you feel?"
"I feel confused," Sam said. "You're...human."
"Yep," Gabe said. "I'm a human who fell in love with an angel. So?" Sam made some sort of choked noise and Gabe laughed. "How do you feel? With the whole other thing?"
"I...I feel normal. Holy shit I'm normal."
Gabe smiled and Sam returned the smile, before dragging Gabriel into a hug, which pulled him off the couch. Gabe just laughed and wrapped his arms around Sam, nuzzling into Sam's chest.
"Sam I'm sorry," Gabe said quietly. "I never should have..."
"Gabriel it's fine," Sam said. "What's done is done, you can't change it. Besides, you fixed it didn't you?"
Gabriel smiled softly. "Yeah I guess...hey wait a minute, we're bonded."
"Yes...we are."
"Actual bonded?"
"Yes."
"More than Cas and Dean?"
"Yes."
"Well then..."
"I'm not complaining."
"Neither am I. Does this mean I can go through your thoughts?"
Sam sighed. "I swear if you're in my head all the time now."
"Aren't I anyway?" Gabe asked, smirking. Sam just rolled his eyes and smiled.

Dean stood next to the bed as Cas slept, leaning against the wall with his wings flat against the walls. The mixed feelings running through his head right now were unbearable.
"Cas," Dean said, nudging him softly with a wing tip. Cas made a muffled sound and rolled over in his sleep. "Come on Cas, wake up."
"No," Cas muttered.
"You just replied, meaning you're already awake," Dean said. "We need to talk."
"In the middle of the night?" Cas said, wearily sitting up.
"Yeah," Dean said. "It's on my mind."
Cas just sighed and moved to the edge of the bed, facing Dean. "What do we need to talk about?"
"Us," Dean said. "For one, the bond."
"Yeah, what about it?"
"It's tearing my grace," Dean said. Cas looked at him in surprise. "It's only a half bond. Therefore, tearing my grace between being human and an angel. Coz I believe, may need to check with Sammy, that an angel can decide to be human if they bond with a human, or they can make the human an angel."
"Um...Gabriel?"
"Hey I don't know what the hell's up with them. Maybe I'm wrong. But you're tearing my grace Cas, and that's not something I'm going to allow to happen."
"Okay...so then what?"
"Well...either we remove the bond or make it real."
"Which one?"
"Well I don't know about you, but I'm not ready for any sort of commitment," Dean said. "I'm not ready to be stuck with someone for the rest of my life."
