Not Enough

There once was a boy
With dirty blonde hair
With chocolate brown eyes
With a smile
That shined
So bright
Like a star
Lonely in the night
Sky
A flashlight
In the darkness
A lone needed gleam
He brightens
The worst days
I would say
His laugh
I could recognize
As if the melody
Was of my favorite
Love song
Blasting through my ear buds
Oh how I wished it could be
On repeat
There was a time
When we touched
The warmth
Soared through
My system
Coursing through my blood
I touched my lips
That night
Thinking of yours
How they were soft
How we grinned together
How our heads touched
How you looked into my eyes
Oh how you made me feel
During those
Flame igniting times
I just wanted you
You just wanted me
But we fell
We smelled the roses
Along the journey
Along with your cologne
And my perfume
That mixed to make
A new fragrance
We touched
As we fell
The cement meeting our fall
Breaking bones
As they reached from our skin
Searching for oxygen
To reach to
Blood sputtering from
Our wounds
Leaving scars
And tension
Hidden under a rock hard
Surface
Oh how things would
Change
If walls could talk
The pain was excruciating
Overwhelming me
With tears
A pain that punched me in the
Chest
Till I heaved in panic
A pain that I felt
For a boy
Who was not a man
But who I thought to be
My boy
Soon to be a man
But it was to early
The fall
Was to hard
My bruises are still
Yellowing
You often stare at them
From afar
My chocolate eyed
Boy
I love you
I always will
But I know
That is not enough
