The Darkness Of Night

The light has gone

Receding with the sun

The darkness

Seeps into the room

Surrounding

Everything with nothing

No color

No pretense

No sheilds

No masks

No clothes

Just a lash

Without a flash

But with a crash

That distracts

And figures

That act

As guards

That stalk

And protect

And swirls

That turn

On the ceiling

When I stare

Above

Thinking

Becomes

Harder to deal with

Difficult to silence

For it's only

Honesty

That seeps into mind

For ones real mind

Returns to their

Skull

Only during

The time

It can be unseen

Relinquishing those cries

That light

Denies

For light fights

To show you

What you want to see

I've realized

I should appreciate

The darkness

Not the demons

The darkness

That is simply rest

From being

Everyone else

Other than myself

And relinquish my cries

Where I'm hidden

But

Seen

By no eyes

It's a beautiful

Sight
