Freedom

Running around

In a field of grass

Circling the base of my favorite tree

With large leaves and plump fruit

I sit

And wait for you

Here there is no judgement

Here there is no pain

Here the wheel keeps turning

Here there is no blame

You can be who you want

You can be who you may

You will not have to pay

For your once indecent ways

Have you heard

The whispers of the wind

Have you seen the stars

Dance in your lense

Have you tasted

The sweet juice of eternity

Have you smelled

The smoke

Of their burning glory

I thought not

This is the freedom you seek

But you will never grasp it

Until you take a rest

From your life

Slip away

Into the light

Take your last breath

And embrace your new sight
