Silence

She sits alone

In the corner

Wondering if anyone

Would mourn her

She pulls down her shirt

So the scars remain unseen

A voice in her mind

Tells her to do it

Get the razor from the floor

Get back to it

She hugs her knees

She holds them tight

Hoping one day

She will not have to fight

The rain picks up

Her screams ring out

Like a shot into the clouds

As the blood streams down

As she slowly breathes out

Relief floods her mind

And her muscles relax

Silencing the voices

That will soon come back
