She looks in the mirror

But can not reach her own eyes

For the details are what remind her

Of her mothers demise

She places the pearls along her neck

They clink against each other

Trapped in sets

She smiles to herself and those around

Hoping that when she gets home

She can just be loud

Scream until her voice gives out

Punch the walls until they are
Smeared with red

Letting her tears finally be shed

She needs to be free

From this need to release

Her own rage
And sadness claws at her throat

Why oh why had she not spoke

So many words unsaid

Only leads to notes for the dead

She can't take it anymore

She is too overwhelmed

All she can think about

Is why no one can see

Past the emotional walls

That make her seem happy

She struts out the room

Mumbling to herself

The pearls fall and shatter

Just as she Fell
