Cursing me

Sleeping in her stead

The room crowded with dread

She never knew it would happen

So soon

Her sister would be called to eternal rest

Tissues cover the floor

Tears stain her sheets

Blood curdling screams

Beseech the winter

Windows that crack and screech

Rain pouring on the small roof

It seems the clouds understand

The gloom

Each drop calms her heart

Hitting her ear drums

Crashing over her

Bringing peace

For a moment

That's brief

Who knew

her mind was not her own

Who knew corruption

Pooled in her bones

Who knew

She could be the foe

What's real?

What's fake?

What's visible in the end

She deceives the queens

She deceives kings

She deceives all

She believes in equality

Drawing imaginative scenes

Of sanity

For she does not have her own

Her sister never existed

Yet the mourning continues

Why oh why must she cry

" For my soul has been corrupted

From believing my own lies"

She whispers in her sleep

The rain keeps pouring

The clouds continue to weep

For the lost soul

Within us all

Hidden beneath

Your own eyes

Can you feel her

Clawing into your mind

Reeking havoc

Cursing your design
