Tessia's stomach turned, and her head spun as she felt like she was falling in all directions, moving through light and darkness. She had no idea what was happening, and her heart began to race with fear, thinking she was going to be stuck in this hell forever. That was, until the light and darkness finally vanished, and she let out a loud omph as she landed face-first on soft ground.
"What in the fuck," Tessia groaned as she slowly pushed herself up. She blinked, her head spinning, and felt a little nauseous. Then, a weird feeling like water rushing through her and static electricity running along her skin washed over her for a few moments before it vanished. The first thing she noticed was the lush green grass beneath her, and could feel the soft soil underneath her fingertips. Her brows furrowed. "What the hell..."
"Sorry, void dusting can be a little much for first-timers."
Tessia's head snapped up at the sound, and her gaze locked on the elderly woman standing directly in front of her. The woman smiled down at her, which only seemed to infuriate Tessia more. Tessia's jaw tightened. "What the fuck did you just do?"
The woman simply shrugged. "I simply transported us."
Tessia raised a brow. "Transported us. What are you—" She blinked before she slowly looked back down.
'Grass... There isn't any grass in my apartment.'
Looking up, Tessia looked around and saw she was standing in a lush grassy field. All around her were several beautiful white stone buildings with golden trim. Stone pathways lined the area, with golden lampposts lit by a white flame. A loud screech overhead drew Tessia's attention, and she looked up and nearly gasped as a large hawk the size of a bus landed in front of her and the woman.
Tessia quickly scrambled to her feet. "What in the hell is that?!"
The woman chuckled, "More like who."
The hawk tilted its head before it burst into flames. The flames consolidated, forming a figure before solidifying. Tessia blinked, seeing another woman who looked beautiful, with hazel eyes, brunette hair tied back, and tanned skin. She had a well-toned body, and her chest looked muscular and hard; she now stood in the hawk's place.
Tessia stared at the older woman in absolute shock before looking at her. "D-Did you drug me?"
The older woman chuckled, "No, dear, I didn't."
The younger woman tilted her head slightly, looking Tessia up and down. "Is this her, Headmaster Cynthia?"
'So, Cynthia is this old bat's name.'
Cynthia smiled and nodded, "It is."
The younger woman nodded, "Not surprising. I can feel her power from here."
Cynthia smirked, "She'll be strong." She looked at the younger woman. "Did you bring them, Vanesy?"
Vanesy nodded. "I did."
Tessia's eyes narrowed with wariness as she watched Vanesy reach into the satchel she was carrying. She watched as Vanesy pulled out a black sack, opened it, and pulled out a small silver orb.
"What is that?" Tessia asked apprehensively.
Vanesy looked at Tessia in confusion. "What do you mean? It's a resonance orb."
Tessia shook her head, feeling completely lost. "A what?"
Vanesy cast a gaze toward Cynthia. "She doesn't know anything, does she?"
Cynthia sighed and shook her head. "No, it seems not." Cynthia smiled at Tessia. "Listen to me, dear. Everything that you've known about your life is a lie. The mundane world you were living in- it's not your home; this is."
