For the past few days Matt had been really protective of you. Whenever you wanted to go out with friends, he would ask why and who you were going with you. If you were getting too close to Oli or any of the others for his liking, he would pull you away.

You were both hanging out with Oli and Lee ant Oli's house. You were in the middle of watching you're next, and you were sitting between Oli and Matt. At one particularly scary moment, you jumped and scooted closer to the person who seemed closer to you. that person so happened to be oli.

"Oh, I'm sorry." You apologized when you realized you were clinging to his shirt. You pulled away quickly.

"It's fine." He chuckled, not worried about it. He knew it was just out of fright.

Matt, however, didn't seem to get that.

He stood up and held out his hand for you to take. "C'mon." He said, pulling you up.

"Where are we going?" You asked frowning. "The movie is still playing!"

"I don't care. We're going home." Matt started pulling you to the door, but you pulled back.

"Matt, don't be a dick!" You exclaimed, pulling your hand away.

"Yeah, Matt, if she wants-" Lee started, but was stopped mid-sentence when Matt glared at him.

"We're going home." He told you slowly, taking your hand again and moving towards the door.

Oli looked at you and mouthed the words 'sorry'. Nobody knew why Matt was acting this way.

In the car, neither of you said a word to each other. Your phone buzzed in your pocket, so you took it out and saw you had a text from Oli.

Oli- Hey, I'm not sure what's going on with Matt but let me know when you do. Don't let him do something he'll regret later...

You- I don't either, but I'll be sure to tell you when I so. And I won't, trust me.

"who are you texting?" Matt asked as he pulled into your driveway.

"None of your business." You muttered, kind of mad at him for pulling you away from the movie like that and acting like he was the boss of you.

Matt sighed and got out of the car. You followed him inside, closing the door behind you.

"Look, I'm sorry for acting like that." He told you, turning around to face you. "I was jealous."

"Jealous of what?" You asked frowning. What did you do that could cause him even to be slightly jealous?

"When the scary part came on, you clung to Oli instead of me." Matt said so quietly you could barely hear him.

You laughed loudly, quickly covering your mouth when you saw Matt's face. "Matt, that didn't mean anything." You told him. "Oli was just a bit closer to me at the time, so I instinctively leaned towards the closer person. It doesn't mean that I like him more than you."

"Okay." Matt nodded. "Again, I'm sorry."

"It's fine." You chuckled, kissing him on the cheek before pulling your phone out to text Oli that everything would be okay.
