Touring was always a fun feat and there was never a dull moment, especially not with Pierce the Veil. You had decided to tag along on this tour, making everyone happy, especially your boyfriend of three years, Mike. Since you had been so into working and were always busy, you were never free to go on tour with him, which was a lot. But this time, you decided to go.

From where you were sitting backstage, you could see the entirety of the stage, including your boyfriend doing sound check on his drums. Your leg was pulled up to your chest and you held your phone in your hand. Sound techs were running back and forth past you as they were changing cables and making the instruments sound better. Suddenly, you felt someone sit down next to you abruptly. When you turned your head, you saw Mike.

"Whoa, did I seriously space out for that long?" You chuckled to yourself.

"Yeah, I waved my hand in front of your face a few times." He smiled before leaning his head on your shoulder and looking at what you had up on your phone, which happened to be Facebook.

"What're you doing?" He asked.

"I was scrolling through Facebook. My sister had her baby." You informed him and he smiled.

"Yay for Y/S/N!" He exclaimed and you laughed.

"Hey, I have a question." You started.

"What?" He asked.

"Is it hard to play the drums? Or could a monkey do it?" You asked and he sat up.

"Well, why don't I show you?" He asked as he stood up and held his hand out for you. With a smile on your face, you grabbed it and he pulled you from your spot and the two of you began walking towards his drums.

"Whoa Mike, not your concert drums, those were literally just soundchecked." You told him.

"They're my drums, if they have an issue, they can go fuck themselves." He told you as he sat down on the stool and grabbed his drumsticks. You stood to the side and watched him and he shifted in his seat.

"Hey, get over here." He patted his leg and you rolled your eyes before sitting down on his lap and felt his arms go around your waist and his chin rest on your shoulder.

"Okay, first of all, you have to get the beat going with the foot pedal." He told you and then you heard him hit the pedal a few times, making the drum make a noise.

"You try." He told you and then you reached over and hit the pedal. When it made a noise you giggled and you heard him laugh.

"That is so cool." You told him and he chuckled again.

"Now, after you get the beat going, you can do the other drums. Drums are what keep the others on tempo and stuff. So, if you mess up, they mess up." He spoke to you and then hit a few of the drums and then the cymbals.

"But how do you knew what to hit for each song?" You asked and he laughed.

"After a while, you memorize it. But you kinda just play the song in your head as you are hitting the drums." He told you and you nodded. Then he handed you his drumsticks.

"You try." He told you and you took in a deep breath before beginning to hit the multitude of drums in front of you. It sounded terrible and completely off-key, but you were having fun with it.

"I am so terrible at this." You exclaimed through a laugh.

"I mean, it's not the best, but it's also not the worst." He told you and you stopped playing to look at him.

"Oh, don't lie to me Michael Fuentes, I know it was terrible. I have no coordination." You told him with a chuckle and he smiled before hugging you from behind and kissing the side of your head.

"Okay fine, it was awful. But you're better than Vic is." He told you, which sent you into a fit of laughter. Touring is always fun, but this was your favourite moment thus far.
