Rain was pouring by the bucket from the sky as you made your way through the airport and onto the plane. The day seemed miserable, but you were in high spirits. Your boyfriend of three years, Denis Shaforostov, was currently on tour with his new band and had been for the last few months, leaving you alone at your guys house in England. But for the last few weeks, you'd been planning to make a trip out to see him on tour. Normally, you'd plan this trip with one of his bandmates, but you kind of wanted to surprise them too, so instead, you planned it with a crew member who you had sworn to secrecy.

The plane was filling up quickly, but not quick enough, you were way too excited to finally see Denis after three or four months apart. To see his face light up the moment he sees you again. To be with him, in his arms, comfortable and safe. To see him perform on stage, doing what he loves. It was almost enough to make you cry just thinking about it. From beside you, someone say down and chuckled. You looked at who it was and smiled. It was an elderly lady who looked like she had stories to tell.

"You seem happy." She commented and you nodded.

"I am very happy." You told her and she smiled.

"Where're you headed to?" She asked.

"Well, after landing in Chicago, I'm going to visit my boyfriend." You informed her and she smiled.

"Have the two of you been apart long?" She asked.

"About four months now, he's a performer and is on tour in America right now." You told her and she smiled again.

"Ah, well, I hope you two enjoy your time together in Chicago." She smiled at you and you nodded. As she stopped talking, the voice from above instructed everyone to buckle up and enjoy the flight.

After about nine hours on the plane, you were more than happy to walk off the plane and onto the ground. It contrasts to the weather in London, it was sunny and warm in Chicago. After going through all the necessary security checks and grabbing your bags, you headed for the doors, to a car waiting outside for you. Inside the car was Owen, the crew member you had been planning the trip with. He smiled at you and helped you get your bags into the car before the two of you got into the car yourselves and sped off.

"Okay, when we get to the venue, I'm going to drop you off at the bus, it should be unlocked, if not, here is a key to the bus. Put your stuff up in Denis' bunk or whatever, then come right back out. I'll be standing outside the bus with your all-access. We'll then head inside. By the time we get to the venue, the band should be either getting ready to head on stage or are on stage already. Got it?" He asked and you nodded. You remained quiet and looked at your phone, a picture of you and Denis that he had taken with your phone just before he left was set as your background. You then watched the scenery go by quickly and before you knew it, you guys were pulling into a parking lot filled with hundreds of cars and had a long line of people.

"I thought you said they's be on stage?" You asked.

"I also estimated that traffic would have been worse. Looks like you'll get to see him before they go on." Owen told you as he stopped the car next to the bus and turned it off. The two of you ran to the back of the car, grabbed your bags, and headed over to the bus. Owen set the bah he had in his hand onto the ground and walked away. You pulled on the door handle and it opened. As you walked onto the bus, slowly, making sure no one was there, you almost struggled getting your bags up there. When you were in all the way, you made your way back to the bunk area and found Denis' right away. After setting your bags in his bunk, you smiled and turned away from it, leaving the bus. As you stepped outside, Owen was standing next to the bus, the all-access pass he had promised in his hand.

"Alright, they are all standing on side stage watching the opener band perform. I told them to stay there and gave a bullshit reason, they will come and find me soon because they'll be confused. Let's go." He rushed you and you gave him a look.

"You know, you could have just them alone? They like watching the opener bands." You said and he shrugged. The two of you walked inside and weaved through the halls, the various crew members seeing you and smiling. As you got closer to side stage, you suddenly felt nervous. Denis is going to be ecstatic to see you, but you were nervous for some reason. You fiddled with your lanyard as you walked through the building. Then you turned a corner and saw all five of them leaning lazily against things, watching the opener.

"You ready?" Owen asked and you swallowed nervously but nodded nonetheless. Owen walked up to the guys and got their attention, Denis turning to face him, which also meant facing you. You stood awkwardly next to an amp case, waiting for him to notice you. Then he happened to look behind Owen at you and the second he saw you, his face brightened up and his eyes got really wide.

"Y/N?" He asked as he pushed past Owen and you smiled.

"In the flesh and blood." You smiled at him and then he picked up his pace and basically ran at you, wrapping his lanky arms tightly around you. You returned the favour by wrapping your arms around him and then burying your head into his shoulder. He kissed the side of your head and continued to hug you. After a minute or so, the two of you let go and shared a nice kiss. Then he just looked at you.

"What are you doing here?" He asked.

"I wanted to surprise you. You've been on tour and whatever for like four months, the house got really quiet too." You shrugged and he smiled before kissing you again.

"Hey Y/N, nice to see you." Ben said and patted your shoulder. The other three then greeted you and you felt loved. Denis held his arm around your waist, almost as if he thought that if he let go of you, you'd leave and go back to England. You didn't mind though, you missed him.

"So, are you here just for tonight or?" Ben asked and you smiled.

"I was sorta hoping you five would let me tag along for a while." You said and Denis smiled.

"Of course you can. These four's opinion doesn't matter. I want you with us." He said and you laughed.

"Even if Denis wasn't here, we'd love to have you on the bus." James said and you smiled. Then you leaned your head on Denis' shoulder, finally happy and content with your favourite person in the entire world.
