Metaphysical (gemstone information) Rose Quartz and Ruby do not get along. Why in the show would Ruby not like someone? If they tampered with the sanctity of fusion. Ruby was angry at Rose for fusing with Bismuth and still claiming love for Greg. This cause her and Sapphire to split up and this is when Greg saw them both separately.
Metaphysical Amethyst works extremely well with Rose Quartz. Rose Quartz heals the emotions while Amethyst helps you to them in check. Of course in the show Amethyst would care more for Rose Quartz so when she shapeshifted she changed into Rose Quartz.
Pearls work well with diamonds. So of course Pearl would care more about the times that Rose was a diamond and not quartz. This is why her hologram was of Rose Diamond and not Rose Quartz.
I said that Rose is a fusion with the gem inside Lion. Well if you take A lion's mane and combine it with already long, curly hair what do you get? Even longer and curlier hair!
