Peridot is Lab-Created

In "Too Far," Amethyst says,"You're a real gem" to Peridot with which she responds," Yes I am...a gem."

This lead me to search what a fake Peridot would be. It's called a cubic Zirconia Peridot. It looks just like a real Peridot but it is lab-created. I read more into the meanings of Cubic Zirconia and this is what I found--

-It is a man stone and is widely used to replace diamonds. It has the properties of (showing high moral standards) virtue and (bringing people closer together) unification. It is said to assist one with bringing continuity to activities and seeing situations from different points of view. It is used to gather and store information.

This would also be the reason for her limb enhancers and technology. She can't do the things normal gems can. She's not a normal gem. She, herself, is defective. That's why she says that she's no better than the others who are a Permafusion, an Overcooked runt , and a Defective Pearl in "Too far."
