Bambi :

Prom is tonight and I am very excited. I already got my dress, my shoes and my accessories to match. Rashod and I planned on doing a color match because my dress is a basic color, but it is very exotic. People wouldn't think to wear anything like this to prom. Today, my parents and Lay's mom is letting us skip school so we can go get ourselves pampered. We both got honor roll for the first semester and I have officially enrolled for the University of Florida. I just pray that I am accepted. We pulled up into the parking lot of Hollywood Nails and I pulled out my phone to pull up the picture of how I wanted my nails done.

We walked in and spoke to the Chinese women that sat behind the desk. We both decided to get our nails, toes, and eyebrows done. Our hair appointment wasn't for another couple hours, so we decided to take up the time. I paid with my black card and the Chinese women instantly went to work on our hands and feet. Once our nails and feet were done, I got my eyebrows arched and Lay got hers waxed and arched. We waited another fifteen minutes to let everything dry on our hands and feet before leaving.

We soon headed to Krystal's Hair Shop, so we could get our hair done. I got a long, wavy, black sew-in and Alayah got a straight, dark brown sew-in. I dropped Lay off at her house around five o'clock and then I went back to my house.

Prom starts at seven, but I don't plan on being on time. I decided to get in the tub and take a long hot bath. I ran my bath water and played "On You" by Anne Marie as I sat in the bubble filled water.

You said you been thinkin'
But time is tickin'
No conversation, no conversation
Boy it ain' no need for that
I'm just gettin' in to this
I just want relation, just relation

The music played and I started to think back on everything that has happened. I really only have 16 weeks left of school and I will be on my own. This is really crazy. All the things I've been through these past few years. The lost of my brother being the most important.

My phone vibrated as the music continued to play. I looked at the screen as it lit up, to see that it was Rashod.

Rashod ♥ : i can't make it. i'm sorry

My face fell as I read the message. How could this be happening? I swear, times just get worst and worst for me. I sighed to myself. I wanted to be mad and sad, but honestly, I didn't even have a feeling. I felt numb about the whole situation because I kind of sensed that something bad was going to happen tonight. Something bad is always happening to me when I look forward to something, or when something is important to me.

I proceeded to washing myself really well with my Sweat Pea bath wash from Bath & Body Works. I took care of other priorities such as shaving my pearl, my underarms and my thin happy trail line. I don't grow leg hair and I barely have arm hair, so I don't have those things to occupy my time. I got out of the shower and wrapped myself in my towel. I brushed my teeth again and washed my face with my facial cleanser. I put cocoa butter on my face before leaving out of my bathroom. I went into my closet and pulled out my brand new, baby blue, lace panty and bra set. I moisturized my skin with my sweet pea lotion and slipped into my set before spraying myself down with my Cashmere Glow perfume.

I checked the time to see that it was six thirty, so I decided to go ahead and get dressed. I slipped into my dress and then sat down at my vanity so I could do my make up. I wanted to go for a more natural look tonight, so I didn't apply to much. After I finished my make up, I rearranged my hair on my head, gelled down my edges and situated my leave out a little better.
