A week after Xavier and Laura's wedding, the Yi-Zhaos decided to go over to Anna-Marie and Erik's house. They were in the middle of laughing at a joke that Li said when they heard a knock on the door.
They all frowned and looked at one another.
"Well I didn't invite anyone," Lan said, frowning at her tea.
"Well that's good because it's not your house," Li said.
Anna-Marie turned to Erik. "You didn't invite anybody, did you?"
"No!" Erik said. "The boys aren't supposed to come over for a couple days. I thought you invited someone."
Anna-Marie glared at the front door. "I wonder who it could be then..."
Anna-Marie stood up slowly and kept the same pace as she walked across her newly polished wooden floors to her light blue front door. Erik, Lan, and Li (who was holding Flower) followed Anna-Marie slowly.
Anna-Marie stuck her hand out to open up the door when she heard another knock. Anna-Marie paused for a second, looking at the door, then looked back down at her hand as she opened up the door. She looked up at who was behind the door.
It was two women. They both had dark skin, the shorter one's darker than the taller one. Anna-Marie had seen the two women before. The shorter one was taller than usual, probably because she was wearing black heels. The short woman had her hair in a side braid, a pearl headband pulling it back. Her white tank top was flowy with a gray cardigan over it, and she had blue skinny jeans on. The taller one had her hair in two braids, and was wearing a red T-shirt, a black leather jacket, black jeans, and combat boots.
Anna-Marie automatically knew who was behind the door. And she smiled.
"We're back, BITCHES!" the smaller one, Fawn fucking Young, practically shouted.

"I just finished calling my mom," Lan said as she sat back down with everyone since Isabella and Fawn had already been there for a few minutes. "She said that – oh, thank you, dear." Lan was interrupted by Li giving her her beach hat back. She put it on, then spoke again. "She said that since all of us were going to her house for dinner tonight that you were welcome to come, too."
"Yeah, that sounds good," Fawn said with a smile. "We'll be there." Fawn looked at Isabella. "Right?"
"Yeah, of course!" Isabella said. "I haven't seen Mama Zhao in a while! I'm kinda starting to miss her."
Lan giggled. "I hope you're missing Papa Zhao, too. And Big and Small Zhao."
"Ooo! Lotus and Feng are gonna be there, too?!"
"Yeah!"
"Yay!" Flower said as she ran into the living room. "Auntie Lotie and Uncie Fen!"

After hours of staying at the Brin/Green residence, everybody got into their electric cars (to help with pollution; it's gotten better!) to go to Lan's parents' house.
But before getting in the car, Isabella was squinting at a figure across the street. "Is that Achaana?"
Fawn looked at the person Isabella was looking at. It looked like him as far as Fawn was concerned. "Hey! Achaana!"
Achaana looked up at Fawn, and she saw those recognizable bright yellow eyes. Achaana smiled. "Hey h-hey!" Achaana said happily, crossing the street as he did so. "It's the Chosen Ones! Helping to make the world a better place!"
