Chapter 42: After A Month Of Happiness The Painful Truth Must Be Revealed

The next day Isabella and Fawn visited their families, first Fawn's mother them Isabella's dad and siblings, before heading off to their honeymoon in Hawaii.

They had an amazing couple of weeks. They stayed in a beautiful hotel with a beautiful view. They went to beaches every day and just had a great time together.

On their last day in Hawaii they were swimming under a waterfall. Fawn was drifting away so Isabella grabbed her and pulled her into a hug.

"No!" Isabella said. "You can't leave me!"

"I won't!" Fawn said with a laugh.

They stared into each other's eyes. Isabella moved a strand of hair behind Fawn's ear. "I love you, Misses Montoya-Young."

Fawn smiled. "I love you, too, Misses Montoya-Young."

Isabella put her finger under Fawn's chin and kissed her. Fawn then kissed Isabella's neck.

"What do you say?" Fawn said as she leaned back to look up at her wife. "There's nobody around. We're miles and miles away from people... Why not try it?"

Isabella smiled. "You know I can't say no to you."

So they had some fun while they were at the waterfall. Then afterwards they put their clothes back on and walked to the nearest beach hand in hand. As the sun set they continued to walk towards their hotel.

"I could stay here forever..." Fawn said as her walking got slower.

"Me too," Isabella said. She kissed her wife's head.

Fawn looked at Isabella. "Though I'm disappointed to go back home there's one thing I'm looking forward to."

"Which is?"

"I get to tell people we're married. I get to tell people I'm your wife. It'll be like it was before...but just...ya know, better."

Isabella smiled. "I couldn't agree more."

December 13th. A week after Isabella and Fawn came back home. Anna-Marie started going into labor.

Lan found out while she was at work. She was going to the front desk to talk to one of the receptionists when she saw Anna-Marie walk in with Erik.

"Anna," Lan said. "Are you —?"

"She's going into labor," Erik said. He turned to the receptionist. "We called earlier. Anna-Marie Brin and Erik Green?"

"I'll go get the doctor," the receptionist said.

"Which room should I put her in?" Lan asked.

"404."

"Okay. I'll put her there."

Lan was able to get Anna-Marie to her room and help her change into her gown.

"Try to take some deep breaths," Lan said as Erik took Anna's hand. "I know it might seem difficult and you might be irritated at me for saying this –"

"Damn right I am!" Anna said. "I'm in a fuck ton of pain and all you can say is take some deep breaths?!"

"That's all I can do! I'm not your doctor! This isn't my specialty! But when the doctor gets here I promise that they'll be able to help you!" Lan then turned to Erik. "Make sure she takes some deep breaths. And give her ice chips if she needs them."

Erik nodded. "Got it."

After the doctor went in Lan made a couple phone calls. She called Kaetlyn, Li, and Fawn. She also asked Kaetlyn to contact Erik's family, which she agreed to do for Lan.
