Chapter 24: A Mighty Plan

They kept having dinner without talking of Achaana's sister. It was a nice dinner. They really learned a lot about each other. Fawn hoped that they could see each other soon.

As she was leaving the restaurant, she called Anna-Marie.

"Hello?" Anna-Marie asked in a sniffly voice.

"Hey. You okay?"

"Oh. Yeah." She sniffled. "I just, uh, was really stressed out... But, uh, I'm fine now. Think I was just overreacting. Something up?"

"Yes, actually," Fawn said as she went into the passenger seat of the car. "I have a plan. About how to stop Joseph. Meet me at the Montoya-Young residence. Erik is invited if he wants. I'm about to call Lan and Lilly. See ya there?"

"Yup! Sounds good!"

"Great! We'll be home in about a half hour."

"Then I'll see you in about a half hour."

About forty-five minutes later, Erik, Anna-Marie, the Yi-Zhaos, and the Adams family were at the Montoya-Young residence.

"So?" Lilly asked, putting Luci on her lap. "What's up? I haven't seen you girls in a while. Not since Jared's memorial service..." They had had the memorial service a week after they returned to Earth.

"Well, I have a new plan," Fawn began. "With Joseph... Remember how you said that he was going to go to Destiny's Heaven?"

"Yes..."

"Well, he can't go if he doesn't have his compass. Or he can't open the chest if he doesn't have the keys he needs."

Everybody was staring at Fawn.

"What are you suggesting?" Li asked.

"Are you suggesting that somebody steal from Joseph?" Erik asked.

Fawn pointed to Erik with a smile. "Yes. That is exactly it."

"But...we can't steal from Joseph!" Isabella complained. "Not without getting caught!"

Fawn smirked. "Who said it was gonna be any of us?"

Achaana met Anna-Marie, Fawn, Lan, Isabella, and Lilly at the county jail.

"Yes?" Achaana asked. "What do you want? I have to go to work!"

"This'll be really quick!" Fawn said. "I promise!"

Achaana glared at her before sighing. "Okay. What is it?"

"We're gonna bail your sister out of jail," Anna-Marie said with a smile.

Achaana nodded. "I suspected it was something like that. I can't pay it all off..."

"No, but we can help," Lan said. "How much is it?"

"4,000 dollars."

"Oh wow!" Isabella said. "I didn't know they could do that."

"She stole a lot of valuable jewels..." Achaana searched his wallet for money. "I only have fifty on me, and I can only spend thirty."

"I got seventy," Isabella said.

"One hundred on me," Lan said.

"Two thousand," Fawn said. Everybody stares at her. "What? I got my mother, brother, and Anna-Marie's mother to help me out."

"2,200? That's not enough!" Achaana said.

Lilly then got a wad of cash out of her purse. "Don't worry, Achaana. I got some."

They went inside the jail, and paid the bail money.

"Alright!" the man at the front desk yelled. "Alsoomse! You can come out!"

A couple minutes later, Alsoomse came out followed by a guard. Alsoomse was a rather attractive woman. She was the same height as Achaana, who was 6'. She had long dark hair exactly like his, and a smirk that made her blood red eyes look more villainous than before.

"You got her?" the guard asked the four girls and Achaana.

"Yeah, we do," Fawn said. The guard walked away.

"Well well," Alsoomse said, her eyes sparkling as she tilted her head to the side. "The Chosen Ones. It is an honor... What can I do you for?"

Fawn smirked. "How would you like to help us save the world?"

"S..." Alsoomse began. "So...you want me...to steal from one of the worst people in the entire world?" Alsoomse went to Fawn and Isabella's house with them. Li held Flower in his arms, and Lilly held her three kids.

"Yes," Fawn said. "I heard that you're a master at it. We take you to his planet, try to steal the compass that he has. Preferably without getting caught. And as far as I know you've only been caught once."

Alsoomse leaned back in her seat. "Yeah. Yeah, I have. Officially, at least... I'll help you. That son of a bitch needs to learn not to mess with the Chosens. Or the Native Americans."

Fawn smirked. "Good. Glad to see you're on board."
