The next day Fawn and Isabella invited their friends over to their house, including Lilly, Achaana, and Alsoomse.
"I have to tell you guys something," Fawn said after everyone got there. She took a deep breath. "I didn't tell you about Destiny's Heaven. Not everything, anyway... God, or whatever his name is, told me...he told me that Joseph was gonna...that he was gonna kill me... And I think it's gonna happen soon..."
Anna stood up, Erik sitting behind her with baby Megan. Anna walked over to Fawn and hugged her. Fawn started crying. So did Anna.
Lan joined in the hug. So did Lilly and Isabella.
"I'm sorry," Fawn said. "I know...I know this isn't great news..."
"That's okay," Lilly said. "I'm just glad you didn't keep this to yourself until...until it actually happened..."
"We're always here for you," Lan said. "Always."
Anna nodded. "Yeah... We're definitely here for you... Definitely..."
"I'm sorry, Fawn," Achaana said. "I can't... I don't know how to tell you how sorry I am..."
Fawn took a shaky breath. "Thanks... Thanks..."
