(f/n)=First name
(m/n)=Middle name
(l/n)=Last name
(S/t)=Skin tone
(H/l)=Hair length
(H/c)=Hair color
(H/t)=Hair type,straight, wavy, curly,etc.
(E/c)=Eye color
(F/c)=Favorite color
(H/n)=Horse's name
(M/c)=Mane color

*Year 830*

3rd-Person POV

"Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Kataoka, (I'll explain why you have a chosen last name later in the story) it's a girl!" The doctor exclaimed as the new baby girl was just born. The doctor handed the baby over to a nurse who had a cloth and cleaned her off with it.

She was still crying when the nurse handed her to her mother. After ten minutes passed the baby stopped crying. "Have you thought of any names for her?" The nurse asked them. The new mother looked over at her husband and he nodded.

"(F/n), (f/n) (m/n) Kataoka." She smiled and looked at her baby. A moment passed and she noticed the baby start to open her eyes. But the baby only opened one eye, the right one. "Why won't she open her other eye?" The new father asked.

The nurse walked out of the room to fetch the doctor. When he came back he took (f/n) and examined her. "We need to give her a check up anyways for weight and measurements. We will check her eye then." He sighed and handed the baby to the nurse as they walked out to check on her.

"I hope she's ok." The mother mumbled. "She'll be fine. Maybe she just had something in it." The father suggested. The mother nodded as they waited for the news of their daughter.

The doctor returned with the nurse, but without (f/n). "Did you find out what was wrong?" The mother asked. "We have some bad news about her." The doctor said. The mother and father's eyes widened as they waited for the bad news.

"She's missing her left eye, a birth defect." He finished. "I-is there anything you can d-do about it?" The father stuttered. "I'm sorry, but there's nothing we can do. She will have to wear an eyepatch so it doesn't get touched and/or injured." He answered.

They both nodded and the nurse walked out to retrieve the baby. She came back shortly and handed (f/n) to her father who hasn't held her yet. "I guess that's what's special about you." He grinned. "How can you be happy about this?! She's missing her fucking eyeball!" The mother shouted.

"Shh! And don't swear like that in front of her!" The father shushed his wife as he looked down at the sleeping baby girl in his arms.

*The next day*

It was a chilly night in Shiganshina, the wind was blowing strong and it was sprinkling rain every once in awhile. The mother cradled a sleeping (f/n) in her arms close to her chest as she walked along the dark streets with a cloak on.

She saw a house to her right and looked at it. There was a single light in one of the windows on the first floor. The mother looked down at her baby for a moment and back at the house.
