I had gone back to my bunk to prepare for tonight's show in Perth. Luke had made it his mission to become my friend and win my trust because he had done multiple little things since we had talked about three hours ago. Like putting away my dishes after lunch, or opening the door for me.
I tried to shake that feeling you get when you know that someone else is in the room with you or you can tell that the tv is on even before you get into the room with the tv in it.
I pulled out some black skinny jeans and a Too Weird To Live, To Rare To Die shirt and put that on. I personally don't like dressing up for their concerts. It's not like I'm trying to impress somebody. After brushing my hair, I pulled on maroon converse along with my mismatched socks. I didn't even try to find a matched pair. The bus had stopped behind the stadium, out of sight of the frenzied fans. I walked a short three feet once I was out of our trailer into One Direction's. Their faces were plastered on the sides of the bus along with a smaller version of 5 Seconds of Summer. It had their logo and the title of their tour. It attracted girls every where it drove. It's crazy how something so small could become so big.
I pried open the doors of the bus and slipped through the small opening. "Louis?" I called out. "Boo Bear?" I called again.Harry came out of their back room, almost stumbling. He brushed off his shirt and ran his hands through his messy hair. "Brinley, hey." He said awkwardly.
"Hi." I said slowly and suspiciously. He was acting weird. "Have you seen Louis today?" I asked.
He placed his hands on his hips and looked around him. "Uh, no. Maybe he went out with Zayn?" He scratched the back of his neck awkwardly and I could tell something was off."O-okay." I tried to brush it off. "Do you wanna catch up or something? We could get food." I offered him. He smiled wanly and pulled on some silver boots. I rolled my eyes so deep that I could probably see my brain.
"Shut up." He muttered to me as we exited the bus.
"I didn't say anything!"
"But you face did." He scolded me. "Do you wanna grab your other buddies to come along with us?" He asked, pointing a finger at the 5SOS bus.
I crinkled up my face in distaste. "Please no. I've already had too much of them. They have the energy levels of chipmunks." I told him, shoving my hands into the pockets of my coat to keep them warm.
Harry laughed and purses his lips. "So are you guys still fighting? Or have you learned to deal with it?" He asked me after a couple feet of walking. We shouldn't be going out alone like this. Usually, their management would send a fleet of security to watch us and make sure that we weren't getting attacked by fangirls. Management is going to be pissed when pictures get out.
"So far, Calum and Ashton aren't on the hunt for my blood." I shrugged. "Michael might still be mad because I beat him at Pokemon." I fell silent after that.
"What about Luke? Your Prince Charming!" He protested.
I clenched my jaw and punched his shoulder. "He's not my Prince Charming. But he did try and apologize to me.""About the song?" Harry asked and I nodded curtly. "I saw stuff about that on some website." I could tell he still wanted to ask me things. "Was it all true? Like the lyrics?" He finally said once we arrived at the village. Harry and I were porting large pea coats and hats to hide our identities. It was nearly mid fall and the temperatures were stuck in the low 40's.
"Some of them were. Maybe the rest of them were from his point of view." I told Harry. I wanted to avoid this subject as much as I could. "He's just being an ass about it." I shrugged it off and sped up my walking, forcing Harry to match my speed. It wasn't hard for him, on account of his longer legs.We arrived at a small coffee shop called Cafe Delights. Harry opened the door for me and I thanked him, walking into the warm shop and hearing soft acoustic music playing through some speakers scattered around the area.
The walls were painted maroon and brown with soft gold tables and black chairs.
We walked up to the register and saw a young man working there. His name tag read Dylan. He looked up and smiled when he saw us. "Hello, welcome to Cafe Delight. What can I do for you today?"
My nose and cheeks were major definitely tinted red from the cold. I smiled back and gave him our orders. "Um, we'll have two dark coffees and two scones." I told him. Harry handed him his credit card and Dylan swiped it on the keypad attached to the computer. His eyes widened when he saw Harry's face under his hat and curls.
"Oh wow. Aren't you-" he began.
Harry smiled, showing off his dimples. "Yeah. But could you please keep it a secret? We aren't supposed to be here." He said in a soft voice, leaning closer to him.
Dylan smiled and winked. "Gotcha. My lips are sealed." We both smiled and he passed us our food. Harry and I thanked him before heading out of the tiny shop.
Harry's face visibly paled when he saw the groups of teenage girls lingering off to the left of the shop."Fangirls." He said with an ominous tone.
