"Do you want the answer that will help you sleep at night? Or the truth?" I asked my brother sheepishly.

"Brinley," he said softly in denial. "Don't say it." It sounded like he was talking to himself. He didn't want to hear that I was breaking my promise to him.
When we found out, he had pulled my aside and placed both hands on my shoulders. "Brinley, I want you to promise me something." He'd asked me.
My gullible and foolish self that didn't know any better, nodded. "I want you to do anything you can to get better. I will try what I can but it won't help if you don't let yourself get better." He said to me with a pleading look in his eyes.
"I promise. Everything will be back to normal soon." I said to him with a tit smile on my face.

"You said you'd do whatever you could to get better!" Louis told me, the disappointment in his face.
"Lou, I didn't think I needed them anymore!" I defended myself. "Besides, I don't need any more people yelling at me today. Mum already lost her head at me." I said before huffing and crossing my arms.

"What's mum say?" Louis asked after a few moments of silence.
"She said she was coming to get me and take me home. I told her no." I said stubbornly without moving. I stared out the window as we flew higher into the sky. We must've taken off and I hadn't noticed.
He didn't say anything. He looked down, picking at the seams on the blue chair. "Brinley." He said softly, trying to get my attention.

I pretended not to hear him and stared out the window. "Brinley!" He said a little louder.
"What?" I turned around but not fully. I was getting annoyed with him.
"I think you should go home. With mum." He said, looking down, too much of a coward to look me in the eyes.

"Are you serious? Louis you've got to be kidding me!" I scoffed at my brother in astonishment. "You know how much I've wanted to come on this tour. It's almost over and I was I insipid for most of it!" I was on the brink of pleading to him.
He can't be serious. He knows that I'd been waiting for this for a long time.
"I can send mum some tickets and she can pick you up in Toronto." He said solemnly. "I don't want to do this but I have to. I don't want you getting worse."

I could barely believe what I'm hearing. "Louis, when can you accept that I'm not a child anymore?" I said angrily. "I can take can take care of myself."
"It's too late Brin." He shrugged sadly. "I already texted mum. She's getting in the next plane to Canada." He dropped the bomb and it exploded, obliterating everything in its path, aka me.

"I thought you were my brother! I thought you were supposed to be by my side all the time, not sell me or and crush my dreams." I gave him my most disgusted look. "I guess I was wrong." I pulled on my headphones and leaned my head against the cool glass of the window and closed my eyes. I allowed myself to drift away from this world.

I sat up, my neck cracking in my response to my uncomfortable position. My eyes caught sight of my traitorous brother sitting next to me with dark purple rings under his eyes. I had slept through the whole flight, thankfully. I wanted nothing to do with him right now. People had already began to get off the plane. I quickly stood up and got dizzy but I grabbed my bag from above me and scooted out of the seat.

"Brinley, wait for me!" Louis tried to keep up with me. I kept briskly walking through the airport bustling with people getting from place to place.
"I know you're mad at me but you can't go off on your own." Louis caught up to me and placed a hand on my shoulder. I cast a death glare over my shoulder and he removed his hand.

"Harry texted me and said that he was coming to get us." I said shortly and coldly like icicles stuck on the roof of a house.
"Alright." Louis seemed to accept that I didn't want to talk to him. I looked around, ignoring his remark, for a curly headed boy.

Then I saw them. Harry was holding a sign that said Brin and LouLou. I burbled out a bubble of a laugh and raced towards them. I dropped my suitcase once I reached them and crushed Harry into a hug. "I'm so sorry." Harry apologized and held me close.
"For what? It wasn't your fault." I whispered into his ear, nuzzling my head deeper into his shoulder.
We parted and I couldn't fight back a grin. I spotted my other friends behind him. Luke, Michael, Calum, Ashton, Niall, Liam and Zayn. I raced to Niall first. "Hey blondie!" I hugged him.
"What's up girl?" He laughed loudly and smiled. I hugged Liam and Zayn together like a big family hug.
"We missed you Brin!" They said.

Ashton also held out his hands for a hug. I shrugged and thought, why not? I jumped into his warm body. He rubbed the side of my arm and I smiled. It felt good to be home with all these people. Calum and Michael sandwiched me into a hug. "Never leave us again Brinley!" Michael fake-cried.
"Yeah, it was so boring. Luke was all mopey." Calum said and they released me.

I let a smirk cross over my face as I approached Luke. He gulped and looked pale. "Hey Lucifer."
He grabbed my and pulled me into a hug as well. "I hate you. Don't ever scare me like that again." He mumbled and kissed my head. He smelled very good.

"Don't leave me again." He said to me, resting his head on mine.
   "I won't. I promise."
