Being late to work on the first day was not the best way to make a first impression on your boss. Staying up on Twitter the night before was probably a bad idea too. I gazed out the window, watching traffic crawl by. Several thoughts were racing through my head. What would it be like working under Stephanie McMahon aka "boss lady"? How would I adjust to the hectic travel schedule? What would it be like to meet WWE talent? Then again, the only time I would probably get to see the talent is when they are in pain, a time when they couldn't care less about meeting a crazed fan girl like me.

I had a few years of training in wrestling school, but in the end decided that wrestling wasn't for me, so I settled on being a PA for the company. It was a practical job related to something I was passionate about. Wrestling was a part of my life — I grew up watching WWE, now I had the opportunity to work with them.

The blaring bus horn snapped me out of my thoughts, I finally got to the Izod Center in East Rutherford, NJ. I glanced at my watch — 8:45AM. Adjusting my purse, I rushed out and went into the arena, heading straight for Steph's room. I introduced myself to Steph, who gave me a little insight on the company and how my typical schedule would look like. We made a little small talk before she finally directed me to where I would be working for today.

I pushed the heavy door that led into the stairwell, wondering at that moment why I didn't just take the elevator down instead.

At least Steph wasn't as bad as she's usually portrayed on TV. The walls of the basement were unusually white, similar to a hospital in a horror flick. The lights bounced off the empty white walls, adding to the eerie silence in the corridor. Passing around the corner, I still couldn't find my room. Where the hell is 103? My ears felt numb from the silence. I'm a loud person, so I had never been accustomed to this quietness. There was just a faint sound of the audience echoing in the stairwell but that was it.

I'm pretty sure I had walked around that same corner at least twice, still unable to find the damn room. My frustration increased by the minute, I took out my phone to check my email, making sure I was in fact looking for the right room. Not watching where I was going, I walked right into a guy who appeared out of nowhere, sending my phone plunging to the floor.

"Oh my gosh...I am so sorry, I didn't see you there" I muttered, reaching down to pick up my phone. I looked back up to see who I had bumped into, it was a guy who was at least the same height as the doorway he stood in. His beard was slightly thick, but well maintained, and his shoulder-length, two-toned hair — bleached on one side, and dark brown on the other. I was standing face to face with one-third of the Shield, Seth Rollins.

"You're Colby Lopez...I mean Seth Rollins!" I blurted out.

"Yes ma'am, but I'd sure like to know who you are — gorgeous." There was a slight grin on his face, as he leaned with one arm up against the doorway.

Dressed in all black cargo pants, boots, leather gloves, and no shirt, every muscle in his upper body was perfectly carved. Oh man, he called me gorgeous!

"I'm Kiran, one of the new PA's for the company" I replied, extending my arm. Seth gently shook my hand with a smile.

"Oh really? Well — I guess it wouldn't be so bad if I got hurt in one of my matches, at least I'd get to see you around, and maybe even get treated by you." He winked, wearing that same adorable grin on his face. I felt his eyes trailing over my body from top down, my stomach sinking with nervousness and excitement.

"Um, I don't want you getting hurt just to have a reason to see me, but I'd be stoked if you stopped by whenever you're free." I tried to keep my voice steady.

"Alright Kiran, whenever I get the chance, I'll swing by" he assured, slowly making his way around me.

Before I could take a sigh of relief, two more guys dressed in all black attire walked towards the doorway right behind where Seth was standing. A smoky but familiar voice filled the corridor.

"Let's go Seth! We're up in ten minutes!" It was Roman's beautiful voice.

Now I was really acting like a fangirl, gazing in awe at the other two members of the Shield — Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose. My first day on the job — and I run into my favorite faction, unbelievable!

Roman was slightly taller than Seth and Dean, standing around 6'2". His jet black hair was neatly tied back in a low ponytail, and his right arm wore an entire Samoan sleeve tattoo, going from his wrist to his chest. Most of his chest tattoo was covered by his signature tactical vest...bummer. I'd say his arms were the biggest out of the group. I absolutely loved the stubble that surrounded his French cut beard.

Dean was another cutie, had short dirty blonde hair — which was quite disheveled, and was about the same height as Seth. He wore a muscle shirt under his vest, wrapping around every curve of his built arms.

"Alright! Alright! I'm going, but first let me introduce you guys to Kiran, she's the new med assist here"
Roman and Dean faced me as they came out that same room.

"Oh, hey Kiran, it's great to meet you! I'm Jonathan Good, and this is my bro Leati Joseph Anoa'i. But we just stick to calling eachother by our ring names. You gotta watch out for Seth though, he's quick to steal hearts" Dean rambled on as he laughed, offering his hand.

Roman also stuck his hand out at me, all without saying a single word. I never knew such an attractive guy could hold so much arrogance. I glanced over to him, our eyes meeting silently. There was a hint of mystery in his eyes, maybe even an urge to speak, but the words weren't reaching his lips. His smile was faint, his hand — firmly but gently gripping mine. Being cautious not to hold him for too long, I quickly let go and turned back to Seth and Dean.

"It's really great to meet all of you guys! You guys are so talented, I think I've watched almost every single match of yours" I told them.

"Really? Now that's dedication right there!" Seth seemed impressed by me.

"Okay guys, enough talk, we gotta get our asses upstairs — now!" Dean urged the other two, placing a hand on each of their shoulders.

"He's right, Kiran, I'll catch you later then." Seth lightly rubbed the side of my arm before turning the corner.

Dean smiled at me and followed Seth upstairs. Roman was the last one standing before me, with a blank expression on his face. Our eyes met for a split second before he suddenly knelt down to adjust his boots. I wasn't sure if I should say anything to fill the awkward silence, walk away, or just stand there and wait for him to leave.

Instead I pretended to look up something on my phone while Roman continued straightening himself out.

A sign outside the doorway behind Roman caught my eye, clearly reading "Room 103". Talk about coincidence. At least I had found the place I was supposed to be at. Then as Roman got back up, he looked at me, with slightly puckered lips, and gave me a head nod before walking off silently, I had no idea what to make of that, but I knew I was one lucky person to have met the Shield on my first day.
