Our birthday - Chapter 14

Melody's pov

Today is our birthday and it is a school day. Great.

I got out of bed silently, not wanting to wake my brothers. It was a monday and I was looking forward to school to ask Mollie what all that was about the other day. I asked Maspar but he won't tell me. I saw him kiss her, just own up already!

I went straight into the kitchen and dad was up. "Happy birthday sweetheart." He said, kissing my cheek. I smiled, he was happy it was our birthday.

"Where are you going?" Dad asked as I started to go back downstairs.

"To get ready for school."

"Actually, I spoke to the school and now your class has the day off. Invite them all over for a party.

Maspar's pov

I woke up and Melody was gone. I knew she would be upstairs, she always was. Melody then walked into the room. "We have no school today." She declared. I smiled, then ran over to the computer in our room. I emailed all of our friends and they all messaged back saying they were coming at noon. It would be so much easier if we could have our own phones.

We went upstairs, after waking Macarius up, and dad gave us a square present each. "Off me and Gemma" He said with a wink.

I opened my present, it was a phone! I smiled at dad then hugged him, Melody and Macarius gt the same thing. We each got a samsung galaxy s5.

"Thanks dad and Gemma! We yelled. This was a good birthday!

Mollie, Jack, Kian, Sophie, Ben and Sam turned up at the same time. "Happy birthday!" They yelled. I smiled, my friends were cool.

Mollie came up to me and hugged me. "I have a present for you." I followed her outside where she kissed me. I smiled. Mollie handed over a box. It had a wolf charm on it. "For protection." She told me.

"Thanks."

The party went on all day and that night we were all cleaning up. Gemma suddenly clutched her stomach. "The baby is coming!" She screamed. Great. My sister (I think that's what we decided it would be we painted the room blue though) will have the same birthday as me.

Dad drove to the hospital with Gemma and we stayed in the house. "Better get some rest guys." I told my siblings.

"Why?"

"Because we DO have school tomorrow. I'll stay up and wait for dad."

"Why can't we see the baby?" Macarius asked. It sounded like I was a lot older than them, not just some minutes.

"Okay, I'll wake you up when they get back."

AN HOUR LATER

I heard a door open upstairs and went to investigate. Dad was standing there with Gemma. "It's a boy." He said.

A brother.
