Maspar's POV

Most of the kids were down for naps. I was sitting upstairs alone.

A sudden slam of the door alerted me. I went running out to find Kian, tearstained with fresh ones coming down his cheeks. "Kian?" He shook his head at me. "Kian mate, what's wrong." Kian suddenly burst forward, into me, sobbing uncontrollably. "What is it, news on Jake?"

"He's dead Maspar." Kian sobbed. "He's dead."

Melody's POV

I came upstairs to  find my husband sobbing into my brother's chest. "He's dead Maspar, he's dead." Jacob.

Macarius' POV

Melody stopped on the stairs. I knew something was up. Had to be with Jacob.

Melody's POV

"He's dead?" I asked, a voice coming out that wasn't my own. Kian lifted his head and nodded. Tears filled my eyes and Kian came towards me, holding his arms out. I let out a sob and Kian stroked my hair, holding me close. We stood in the entrance hall for ages, me just crying.

Maspar's POV

We all sat in the living room, sometime later. We were playing a small game so we could memorise Jacob in our heads. I went first.

"I was twelve, four hours being twelve. Gemma and dad came into the house and I went upstairs to see the new baby, Jacob.

"I was thirteen. You all invited me into your home, letting me live here. Jacob took a shine to me." Kian smiled.

"I was thirteen, just." Melody laughed. "Maspar sent Jacob down to our room and found me and Kian kissing. Never thought he would trust us again."

"I was fourteen. Jacob and me went for a day in the park. He was only two." She whispered again.

"I was fifteen. Jacob and me were reading when he heard a baby cry and said 'that'll be my niece and nephew'." Macarius smiled.

"I was sixteen. I sat with Jacob and Sammy next to me, both of them trying to stay awake while you lot were on stage." Kian laughed.

"I was seventeen. Kian didn't want to take the kids to buy school clothes so I did and I lost him, Jacob."

"I was eighteen." Kian finally said. "I got a phone call from the police to tell me he was dead, Jacob.
