Police station - Chapter 98

Kian's POV

I learnt to get over Jake. I spent more time with Alfie, teaching him. More time with the twins, playing. More time with Melody, having some time to ourselves.

I knew we should get our own house, so I was going to look at some.

"Daddy?" Poppy called as I quietly opened the door.

"Yeah Pops?"

"Where are you going?" She walked in fully dressed with shoes on and everything.

"I have to go look at something. Did you want to come?" She nodded and I smiled.

Poppy hasn't gone missing. I texted. She is with me, looking at something.

I got a reply nearly straight away. Ok.

We walked down the street and into the next one. It had a gate at the front with a speaker thing on it. I pressed the buzzer.

"Hello?"

"Jason, it's Kian. We spoke on the phone." The gates opened.

I knocked on the door and a young man answered. "Kian?"

"Hi." I shook his hand. "This is my daughter Poppy."

"Hello Poppy." Jason smiled down at Pops. She stood a bit behind me.

I walked back towards our street, Poppy following. I unlocked the door. No one in, strange.

I found them in the park. Melody came over.

"What were you out for."

"You're gonna hate me." I laughed. She looked at me questionly.

"Why?"

"I bought a house." She squealed and hugged me.

My phone rang. "Hello?"

"Kian Liams?"

"Yes? Who is this?"

"Manchester police department. We need you to come down to the station. We've found something that you will not want over the phone."

I ran into the police station and up to the desk. "I'm Kian Liams and I've been sent here for news on my brother in law?"

A policeman walked out of another door. "Mr Liams, can you please come with me." I followed the man through to a small room. "Take a seat."

"What is this all about officer?"

The policeman looked at me sadly. "We have news on Master Lee. Our team was searching the streets for him when we came across a unnoticed alleyway. Our men went down it, found a man putting something in the bin. I'm afraid to say you probably know what that thing was."

I nodded, hoping he would carry on, to tell me what had happened. 

"Young Jacob Lee is dead."
