I've got you, you're okay - Chapter 56

Melody's pov

I took Jacob's hand as we crossed the road and we walked in the park.

"Want an ice cream Jake?"

"Yeah!" We bought ice cream and ate them on the way to the pond. I realized again that we didn't have any food so we stopped at a fish and chip van and ate the meal by the pond. The ducks seemed to enjoy the chips that Jake threw at them but I advised him not to give them any more.

We went back to the playground and I hoped that Amy would be there. She was.

"Amy!"

"Melody!" We hugged and I saw Jake go over to Jack. I think it is strange how I am 14 and Amy is 22. She knows what I am going through because she had Jack when she was 14. 

"So how's your kid?"

"Jake's not my kid."

"No, the baby."

"Oh, okay I guess."

"Eight more weeks and you can have a scan."

"ANother one?"

"Yeah, it's so they know if the baby is healthy and you can find out if it is a boy or a girl." I started thinking then. I knew Kian wanted a boy, well he didn't mind but I think he wants a boy.

"MELODY HELP!" The scream made me come back to the real world. Jacob was on the massive rocket ship climbing frame and he was dangling off it with one arm latched over.

"Hang on Jake!" Jack yelled, starting to climb up. I ran towards the climbing frame and stood underneath it, hoping to catch my brother if he fell.

"Melody, I can't hold it!" Jacob screamed. Then he fell. I was nearly there. I needed to catch him.

I threw myself forward and landed on the ground. My leg started to really hurt. Then my back as something heavy landed on me. It was Jacob.

"Melody?"

"Yeah Jake. I got you." Then it went black.
