Melody's pov

I sat there, stunned. Kian was coming to live with us? Why?

"Why is Kian coming to live with us?"

"Well, Kian has no parents." Maspar told me.

"What!" I looked at Kian.

"It's true. My parents died when I was seven. Car crash. I just went home. No one knew I existed. It was ALWAYS just me and mum and dad. Never any other family." Kian's eyes filled with tears.

"Oh Kian." I cried hugging him. "I'm glad you are coming to live with us. You  don't have to be my brother though?"

Kian and Maspar laughed. "We have had this conversation before. No I'm not going to be your brother."

"That's good then."

When we got home, all seven of us, we got to work on Kian's room. It was painted blue and the best thing was it was next door to our room. I had asked if I could put my bed in Kian's room with no such luck.

"Please dad. You know that he needs me to refresh his memories."

"No. I will not have my daughter in with, erm, Kian."

"Why?"

"Just because." I knew we still didn't know what we should do about Kian. Dad didn't know whether to call him son or just Kian, or what.

I went to find Kian in his room. He looked up. "Hi what did he say?"

"No."

"Oh, alright."

"Go to sleep. It's christmas in about three hours. We were at the hospital all day."

"See you in the morning." I walked out of the room and into my room.

Maspar looked up from he bed. "Hiya."

"Hi." I mumbled.

"What's up?" He asked me, sitting me down on his bed.

"I just, nothing."

"I can tell it's not nothing, Melody." Maspar told me.

"Just go to sleep." I told him, getting up and getting into my own bed.

"Night then."

"Goodnight."
