Christmas day, part two - Chapter 31

Maspar's pov

I watched as two, small puppies ran into the living room.

"Woah!" Macarius yelled. We all ran forward and started petting the puppies.

"what kind are they?" Kian asked. 

"They are mutts. Part german shepherd, labrador, border collie; a red one at that, (I can see that, I said) beagle and a bit of jack russell. That one," he indicated one of the dogs."Is male and that one," he said pointing to the other one,"Is female."

"WHat are they called?"

"They don't have names." Gemma told us.

"Well," I said. "What should their names be. I liked the boy the best.He seemed to be the friendliest.

"How about Murphy?" Kian suggested.

"Yes! And what about Daisy for the girl." Melody said, ruffling Daisy's fur.

We all sat down to breakfast and the pups came with us. We all occasionally fed the dogs some scraps of bacon but it had to be secret.

Melody's pov

This has officially been the best christmas ever! Kian came to live with us and we just got our new puppies! 

3 HOURS LATER...............

I lay back on the sofa, stuffed. We had just finished our christmas dinner and I was sitting between Kian and Maspar. Daisy was asleep on my knee and Murphy was asleep on Kian's.

"Aww, they are really cute." I whispered, hugging daisy closer. I couldn't believe that we had only had Murphy and Daisy a day but they were already part of the family.
