Present giving and the secret revealed - Chapter 45

Maspar's pov

Murphy  walked into the room. He's so depressed. Last week, daisy was put down because she was ill. Murphy is 6 months old.

"Hey Murph." I said, stroking his fur. Jacob loves Murphy.

"Murphwy!" He yelled. Running at the dog.

An hour later...........

We had all just watched Jacob open something like 15 thousand presents very slowly. I was ready to go to sleep. Kian and Melody were on the other ofa while me and Macarius took this one. Gemma and dad were out of the room. Melody got up and left.

Melody's pov

I went into the kitchen, where I knew dad and Gemma were. Gemma was crying and dad looked shocked.

"What's up?" I asked. Dad looked at me.

"Nothing Melody."

"I know that Gemma is pregnant." I told him. "The boys will be able to tell soon."

"How far are you?" Dad asked Gemma.

"About 15 weeks." She cried.

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"I thought you wouldn't want another baby." She sobbed into dad's' shoulder. I took this as a time to leave.

Maspar's pov

Melody came back in and sat next to me. SHe grabbed my wrist and held it tight.

"Melody." I sighed. "get off my arm."

"No. Don't try anything stupid, Masper." SHe growled.

Dad walked in with a tearstained Gemma. Apparently Kian knew what was coming because he grabbed Jacob like Melody had me.

"Mummy, why are you sad?" 

Dad looked at all of us. "No one is to get upset." He looked at Maspar. "But Gemma is pregnant."

I looked at Gemma. For some reason, I felt pleased. I wasn't mad or sad. I wasn't going to try and hang myself. What would the point be?

I got up and walked to Gemma. She  backed off, scared of what I would do. I hugged Gemma. "Congratulations." I smiled. SHe smiled and hugged me back.

"thanks Maspar. Do you want to see a picture?" I nodded. I looked at a scan of a small baby inside of her stomach.

"Aww."
