    Dad intervenes - Chapter 35

    Maspar's pov
    
                          
    Kian ran up the stairs and I followed in hot pursuit. We charged around the living room and then he ran into the kitchen. Dad was in there.
    
                          
    "What the hell?" He gasped as I ran after KIan, yelling all sorts of horrible insults. \we just ran in a circle around the table. 
    
                          
    "HEY!" Dad shouted, grabbing me and holding me still. I didn't want to be calmed down. I wanted to kill my best friend! I had to.
    
                          
    Kian had stopped running and was standing beside the door, looking wary. "Okay" dad said, "What's going on?"
    
                          
    "HE." I spat. "THAT BASTARD. SLEPT WITH MELODY!" Time seemed to slow down. My anger was going. NO! I need it to kill him!
    
                          
    Dad was slowly going red. Not the kind that happens when you are embarrassed. The kind when someone is angry. He grabbed Kian by the collar and lifted him off the ground until they were eye level. Dad being dad, was quite tall.
    
                          
    "You did what?" His voice was soft, but angry.
    
                          

    
                          
    Melody's pov
    
                          
    I had watched Kian being chased by Maspar up the stairs. I gasped. My brother was going to kill him.
    
                          

    
                          
    I walked into the kitchen to a terrifying sight. Dad had KIan by the collar and had him suspended in mid air.
    
                          
    "you did what?" I heard. Dad was definitely mad.
    
                          
    "Please mister Lee." Kian pleaded. "It isn't what it sounds like. Melody bought Daisy in my room to see Murphy and fell asleep. So did I."
    
                          
    "Thats no excuse."  Dad growled.
    
                          
    "Please dad." I started, coming into the kitchen. He turned round to look at me, still holding KIan. "Please dad. I only took Daisy to Murphy. I fell asleep. Kian wouldn't hurt me, you know that." Dad's face softened a bit.
    
                          
    "You wouldn't would you." He was talking to KIan now. "You wouldn't hurt her?" Kian shook his head.
    
                          
    "No mister Lee. I wouldn't. I care as much about Melody as you." 
    
                          
    "Okay then. You can stay. And Melody can sometimes, SOMETIMES, come and sleep in your room. She also has to spend some time with her brothers." I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I don't think Maspar could either.
    
                          
    "WHAT?" He shouted. "DID YOU HEAR ME DAD?"
    
                          
    I knew dad had heard him. I was allowed to stay in KIAN'S room!
