Months after the incident...

Anna's POV

I'm not sure how to explain this, but Miel and I got really close after those months of ignoring each other and the awkwardness we had to endure whenever we have no choice but to interact with each other - and I blamed it all to the school's curriculum, and probably Zaila.

Months had gone by since that incident in our class trip, but it felt like it just happened last night. The event was terrifying, not because of the actual prank, but because of the fact that it felt like the worst nightmare in my past happened once again. My guards didn't suspect anything, so I'm sure Takei-san never told them anything about what really happened.

Although, Yoh had managed to adapt a new habit of sending me different types of meditation songs and tutorial. I appreciated it a lot, even if I never say it.

Sometimes, he gets too dedicated, like today, he gave me a 4GB flash drive that is filled with nothing but meditation and aura healing techniques. I really don't need it cos I'm okay with what I have, but he still does it. Kinda annoying, but I appreciate the concern.

We are now at the last weeks of April ー four months had already past since Christmas day. It was memorable for me, cos Miel stayed at my apartment to celebrate the holidays, and the day of my mom.

Nevermind the fact that my brother thought it was a good idea to surprise me ー which he really did. Well, both of us, and Miel.

Also my guards.

I don't really want Miel to meet my brother, cos I know he will only get interrogated by Ryuuro. But he did anyway, and I can't do nothing but accept it.

My brother managed to scare the crap out of Miel, and if it's appropriate to laugh I would. But I don't, because I know my brother could kill Miel in an instant, if he does something wrong.

Other than that, everything's fine. Miel is safe. The cat that I hide on my apartment is now safer inside Miel's house, so he's safe too. I'm safe too, for now.

Have I already told you that Miel and I are really close now?

Like really close?

"Baby, come here! We saved you a seat! Come, come!"

With a tray and level 3 Ambrosia on my arms, I swirled around to see Miel waving and smiling like an idiot.

I scowled at him; how many times have I told him not to call me 'baby'. This stubborn lad.

For some reason, my life inside the campus is now peaceful and quiet.

Is this what they call 'the quiet before the storm'? I hope not.

Since I'm used to eating at Miel and his friends' table, I walked toward them. I finally managed to get used to the stares I get everytime I did that.

Apparently, the rumor about Miel and I being in a romantic relationship is apparently what they believe in. Even his grandfather knew about this ー and the thing is, he supports us.

I don't know if that's a good thing.

Maybe that's the reason why Miel calls me in an intimate way, to make them believe that we're really together.

But in reality, are we really? I wasn't sure too.

The only thing I'm sure of is Miel's arm draping on my shoulders.
